Think this was a pretty good damage assessment. <object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OqciH4r3nuA&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OqciH4r3nuA&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object>
Skip Bayless: "LeBron's last-sec shot privileges should be revoked. Just once, want to see clearout for DWade w/ 10 seconds left."
Can you guys count how many foul Rose had but the ref ignores him? I know it takes time but his average would improve greatly once he get that super star calls. Also notice how much Wade is complaining to the ref every chance he can get. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0sNwTmABiDA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I've been watching the Heat a lot lately, and I've really grown sick of all the complaining by Wade. The guy is probably worse than Kobe now when it comes to whining every time he doesn't get a call. He also usually gives up for a few seconds after any drive to the basket where he misses and doesn't get a foul call. It's really disappointing to see.
I think this just further shows what an idiot Skip Bayless is. I'm not disagreeing with the first part, but rather the second. Just once, I want to see the Heat run an actual play with 10 seconds left instead of an iso for Lebron or Wade.
This just fits with the general remorseful joylessness with which the Heat play this season. They aren't having any fun. Don't know if that's a chicken or egg or what, but it makes them less fun to watch. No wonder they're crying. It's a grim group, for the most part.
I wouldn't go that far. They didn't have fun to begin the season. Then they blasted the Cavs in Cleveland and went on a very nice run where they were having plenty of fun. But it created a false sense of security because they were beating up on mediocre and bad teams. The bubble bursting is what hurts so much now. This latest stretch for them is incredibly grim, almost to the extent it should give pause. During times like this, a person (or a team) has to take the approach: 1. It's never as good as it seems, stay humble. 2. It's never as bad as it seems, don't get too down. If the Heat keep working hard and putting forth effort, they will be OK. At this point, it's gonna be hard to get the #1 seed which means they must beat both the Bulls and Celts in the playoffs. I doubt that happens but you have to play the games. If they don't grasp point #2 above, this tough stretch will be harder on them than it needs to be.
At the end of the day, the Heat have one the best chances to win a ring or two the next five years, then most teams in the NBA. Even haters know that is true, and can post a link to prove it, was quite surprised my self.
Who gives a care right now? It's the stretch run for THIS season and the Heat have lost 5 in-a-row with the Lakers coming to town Thursday. You are seriously reaching. The "end of the day" is this year. Discussion about next year can wait until sometime after the season is over.
I guess he's right though. As a Rockets fan, I would rather be in the position the Heat are in, struggling as we head into the playoffs, rather than coming off a game that might have just cost us a shot at the playoffs.
