Would acquiring Kaman and Baron Davis from the Clips for TMAC interest any of you? It would definitely shore up the center position with Kaman, Hayes and Anderson and we wouldn't be losing any of our "talent". From a Clippers standpoint, it frees them up to further build around Griffin, Thorton and Gordon. Just a thought, I would consider it.
I'm located by Chicago, and a lot of my friends out here are really desperate for a move and really want McGrady to come to Chicago. They are really desperate and maybe we could get more? Would Morey do this trade? Deng, Tyrus Thomas, and Brad Miller for Cook and McGrady
We're getting low balled a bit, but, other than what GSW has to offer, it's the best deal there is. Salmons and Miller both played under Adelman, so I don't see the problem there. Maybe Salmons can regain his form? Even if Aaron Gray is useless, he's still expiring contract, so we have nothing to lose.
Yes they will Egghead. They really don't like Tyrus Thomas and would easily want to trade out of Deng's contract to give them a chance in 2010 free agency. It's really up to DM though.
Actually his insurance pays for every game he doesn't play after his 44th game pissed for whatever reason. There was an article on it.
Look this trade keeps our core together and addresses two of our core needs. A scoring wing that can create and pass and a big with range..... And both know the system, right? DD
Even though Scola is 30, he seems like the kind of player who will last longer than the average player (ala Vlade Divac). Sounds like the first rumor was meant to make the second rumor (Thomas, Miller, Deng/Salmon) sound better. I know we all want some action, but let's not jump on the first option for the sake of trading. Do you guys really think this would be a good deal?
If you read into the verbage that has been put in the paper, Morey said he would not move any of his core players to accomidate T-mac in a trade. With that being said i believe the only players we have that could be had next to T-mac are Taylor, Dorsey, and perhaps Budinger depending on the return value in the trade. The only reason I put Budinger in there is because of his limited minutes he plays and the fact that we would have to accomidate the incoming player or players with playing time as well. Also keep in mind that the Rockets now play as a team and the only real need is a 7ft shot blocker/rebounder that could start ahead of Hayes. In my opinion was the reason the Rockets were looking at Randolph, perhaps they could work on a three way trade with Chicago, and Golden State. Houston Miller-Chicago Randolph-Golden state Salmons-Chicago Chicago Tmac-Houston Wright-Golden State Golden State Thomas-Chicago Taylor-Houston Rockets get rid of Mac/Taylor and aquire Randolph, Miller, & Salmons. Release Harris.
i agree. people are waaay overreacting to salmons' bad first half of the season. plus he is a solid defender so it's not as if he can't contribute on both sides. i like this deal if we can get it done. people can't overlook the fact that we get 3 relatively tradeable pieces if this is done.
