Just because the Bulls would insist on getting Scola or Landry doesn't mean they will.

Morey should insist on getting Noah or Rose.

    Same difference.

I'm not even sure Morey makes the trade WITHOUT including Landry/Scola so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Right, there is nothing there from a talent standpoint for the team that takes on TMAC. They only want the money coming off the books that TMAC represents.

The way I figure it is the better the talent we pry away from the other team the worse the contracts we are forced to absorb will become. I figure any eventual trade for TMAC will look like one of the scenarios below.

    Rockets Get
    Young Solid NBA role player
Couple of expiring deals to get closer to TMAC contract value
    One bad contract

    Rockets trade
    Only TMAC

    or

    Rockets Get
A borderline Star/Superstar (Bosh/Chris Paul type... hopefully not a bad teams overhyped role player on a bad team, example Luol Deng)
Any and every bad contract the other team has

    Rockets trade
    TMAC
Atleast one of our young tradeable assets, names I could potentially see being on this list includes, Brooks, Landry or Buddinger.

I hope it's the hosts'. Sub Deng for Salmons and I'm ok. If Salmons were flipped for a real player I'm ok. I'm uh, gray on Gray.

It can't just be TMac for those 3 straight up.

Either we wave 2 of our players in the next 3 minutes or Dorsey + Harris are headed to the Windy City.

I have to say, I don't get what the infatuation is with Brad Miller at this point in his career. The guy is seriously done, I wouldn't take either of the other two either. I kind of see the Ariza signing as a bit of a mistake since we would have considerably more cap room at the end of the season without his contract, with which to add an impact player. Having said that, when Yao expires, there should be plenty of cap room to maneuver for the future. As sad as it is to say it, I don't think that Yao fits in this team's future either, at least not at his current salary, unless something drastically changes.

    Salmons...really??

So we can potentially have not one..but TWO CRAPPY SHOOTERS??

    I'd rather trade MAC for a 6-pack...

Thomas along side Yao wouldnt be bad. Thomas is a great shot blocker. But other than that, no thanks.

Dont know why there is so much love for Brad Miller on this board, he sucks. Well, this board loves white players, so that has to be the only reason.

Thanks for the clarification, the two are frequently mistaken for each other around here. I hope the hosts are mistaken too.

Salmons is the same age as McGrady. Established vet, hopefully not declining.

    Aaron Gray is poo

This is probably the market value of McGrady now

They just mentioned that they shot down some McGrady rumors earlier on the show... no mention of a T-Mac deal yet. I'm going to give it 5 minutes more before the lock... get in your posts while you still can.

Salmons last yr shot close to 50% and was over 40 from 3 point range...this year he has struggled but seems more to do with not being happy then his own play. Miller will thrive in Adelman's offense...Gray well....Salmons and Miller is cool!!
