Does anybody know when we get Chicago's 2nd round picks for the Bryce Drew trade? If Juan Dixon might still be considered a 2nd round pick we could take him. Casey Jacobsen might still be around for the first pick of the 2nd round as well. There's also Fredrick Jones who could be the next Cuttino. Either way, the rockets always draft better players with lower picks than with higher ones.

Hell, yeah. For some reason, I think this might be about the last draft that will be a good deal of depth of talent. The drafts will start including more and more high school kids as time goes on. Therefore, the depth of college talent will become more and more diluted. If we can't hold Chicago hostage successfully, I say to let Chicago out of it in exchange for 2nd rounder this year and next. Hell, I have a feeling that, with Jalen Rose, Chicago won't have the worst record in the league next season. We all know that there's no way we'll ever get a 1st rounder from them. I say take it now if we can, even if it means freeing Jabba the Krause from the stranglehold we have him in.

We have to get through 2004 with top-20 protection before we get second rounders. I don't think the Bulls would want to pay those seconds early even if we let them. They might be decent enough by 2004 to have mediocre #2s even if their #1 don't go in the 20s.
