Andy Cooper is a very good speaker. He's got that old man appeal. Bowtie. Sweet. I did not work with Mark and Pete, I worked with the group focused on XOM downtown. They've got it down. Just funnel em in. They don't even need to do seminars anymore. It's all referrals and they have the luxury of being able to tell people no if they think they will be a bad client. It was a great experience over there.
Ok I have a friend that ran into a similar situation as was in my original post. He works Shell. Any chance anybody could get a Shell directory in the Houston area? He will pay.
I still have an Enron directory I "acquired" back from my days as a headhunter. I'll bet I could get some pretty good money for it on Ebay now.
What's wrong with coldcalling? It was fun when I interned at a marketing and sales firm. People b****ed at me a lot. But it was a learning experience. I even do it in my free time sometimes. I love talking on the phone.
My step-dad worked at shell before, and he still has a lot of contacts there. But he hates telemarketers with a passion, so I don't think he would want to help your friend out. But I can ask him. How much money is your friend offering per contact?
