Actually they are not. Nobody is using the big man argument against Chet or the high center of gravity bullshit. It's quite amazing how Chet gets all the benefits of the doubt that Mobley did not, mainly because there are not a lot of fanboys who have another favorite guy like Green did. Chet is far more loved than Mobley was, I think Smith has far more upside than Chet all things being equal.
Holmgren disapeard for a lot of time last night and he was nullified once again by taller more physical players. Anybody looking to him realistically has to wonder what he is going to do against NBA competition on a full time basis. His has a good a too great handle but could not drive by anybody last night when he tried to force the action. Interested to see how this plays out over the tournament. They were guarding him on the perimeter with much smaller players last night, and it was effective.
A couple of random comments is not the same as several 100 post threads on saying the same thing. Chet is in no way getting the same shade as Mobley.
You’re literally one of the main culprits in throwing shade at Chet. Just stop. He’s far superior than your precious Banchero
meh…I’d say they are roughly the same in perception. I think there was some debate in Houston and Detroit over Mobley, Cunningham and Green. The top 3 were fairly interchangeable, even though they have very different styles and roles. I have the same fears about Chet that I did about Mobley, and the same concern about not drafting him and drafting him. I’m not yet convinced that Mobley isn’t Bam, but he’s still young and Bam is a great floor. I worry about Chet’s feet. Is he really mobile enough to slide on the perimeter on defense and dribble penetrate on offense? I’m not convinced yet.
Nope. Nobody is saying Chet is raw or that he has a high center of gravity, or questioning if a big man should be picked this high in the draft. I question the same thing but there has yet to be 100 post threads talking about any perceived negative about Chet, Oh yeah I forgot about the questioning of Mobley's motor as well.
Best box plus minus seasons by college players since 2008 Evan Mobley posted a crazy 12.6 bpm last year at USC, but Chet holmgren is on another planet posting an insane 14.3 bpm this year at Gonzaga. Chet should be the rockets pick https://barttorvik.com/playerstat.p...e=undefined&year=all&start=-11101&end=all0501
Literally in this thread. Chet is a project, two years away. He might break if he falls. His body is too skinny to go against big men. Doesn’t look like he can move (one of the fastest big guys in college)
No he didn't. Did you see how much space he gave Timme to constantly score inside in the 2nd half? And he was still changing shots on the other end, rebounding, initiating the break and the half court from the very high post.
