Didn't McCain get a crazy bump in the polls and the coffers when he chose Palin?

I think his desperation came out of surviving the primaries with a half eaten campaign manager, and the Republican establishment half heartedly throwing their weight behind him.

This really demonstrates how politically inept many right wingers on this board are regarding their favorite candidates. Hero Cheney's comments are damning to those who supported Palin so fervently -- heart breaking in fact.

    Then they heard her speak....

I've been a Republican since 1992, but Palin's rise to prominence (along with the tea party movement) has really made me reconsider my party affiliation. I'm really just in political limbo right now waiting for this movement to hopefully die like the Reform party so we can get back to the way it used to be.

How did this happen? I mean, how did we go from inspirational leaders like like William F. Buckley and Ronald Reagan leading the movement......to Sara Palin and and Rick Perry?

Anyone capable of rational observation knew that Palin wasn't ready.

Ready for public appearances? Not so much.
Does Biden understand the issues and policies? Extremely well.

Lol. Even though I voted Obama, I've always liked McCain.

    This is an all-time gem....

“Look, I respect the vice president. He and I had strong disagreements as to whether we should torture people or not. I don’t think we should have.”
