avoid utah at all cost... why you folks have so much confidence in playing dallas? what if we play the spurs? blah blah. enough is enough, folks. it's about time of the year to get rolling.
Because Erik Dampier cannot neutralize Yao...he is the perfect matchup for Yao. I'd rather avoid the Spurs after Utah.
Mavs are the hottest team other than the Lakers? Have you even been WATCHING the team that we're all here to talk about?
I don't like the idea of the Rockets facing the Mavs in the first round. Terry, Howard, and now Barea can have games where they seem unguardable against the Rockets.
I can already tell you we will not be favored to win in Dallas, as long as they have something to play for. Do you want to argue that?
The point is Teressa, there have been a million threads on this type of thing and if members would just relax on starting new threads and let the positioning play out, we won't have all this ridiculous clutter.
Would you like to place a little friendly wager then? Mavs will be favored over us. Doesn't mean we can't win, but it would be an upset.
I hate these dumb "cheer for [insert NBA team other than Rockets here]" threads. I am a Houston Rockets fan, therefore I will cheer for the Houston Rockets. **** the rest.
In terms of what I read here, I don't care what happens tomorrow night. But if we beat the Hornets tomorrow and the "let's lose" stuff still comes out Tuesday then this team has the most pathetic fanbase in history.
Sure I do. I can almost see us being favored in the spreads on Wednesday. They have nothing to play for. They either get us or Denver. I'm starting to think you're a Mavs fan, you sure do sound like one. We will be favored against the Mavs in that game and in the playoffs BIG TIME if we match up with them. I could see it going to 6 games at the most. Mavs are an easy opponent. The BETTER team is the one that is favored in most cases. Yeah, we're not that good on the road, but I bet our road record against the playoff teams is pretty decent. Plus, we will have Yao for that game, I don't know where your argument is coming from that they will be favored over us. If anything it changes us more than it changes them. We lose one and we could potentially drop to seed 5. They lose and they are likely to be 7th (barring a "miracle" win in LA by Utah).
yeah that's also what I wish to see. there's no doubt the lakers will conquer the Jazz and go on to the next round, but it definitely won't be a easy contest for the lakers. They will probably lose one or two of their franchise players in the series against the Jazz and struggle in the second and WCF.
I don't understand why it would be an upset. Both teams are healthy and we have the better head-to-head and overall record. Maybe I missed something earlier in the conversation.
