last yr when he was healthy to start the year, you saw what he can do -> 29ppg, 46% shooting. then the knee and shoulder happened -> went down hill -> inconsistency. he needed surgeries on both. for the playoffs, he needed TWO painkilling injections just to play (one of them before game 6 and you saw how he played).

and this year, look, tracy put up a stinker. he has put up a lot of them this year. but once you look deeper, you see that he still has that ability to dominate games, just like last yr.

when he has rest, he still looks like an all-star putting up 22-23, 6, 6 #s. before the stinker v. cleveland, 21, 7, 7. those are all-star #s.

all i'm saying is if tracy's body cooperates, he's still an elite player. you can't expect him to do the same on b2b.

his knee will get more strength and get better. and he will perform better on b2b. he's still struggling and the road to recovery is always a struggle.

but unlike earlier in the year, that inconsistency is not as much. this is his first stinker in 7 games. he used to have this every other game earlier in the season. so his knee is getting better. stay patient. when he recovers, you do not want to miss out.

all i know is if yao is playing like he is right now, artest doing what he has done off the bench, when tracy gets healthier and going into the playoffs, he will get the job done.

You're still relying on the regular season to tell you how good this team is?

Have you not been paying attention for...I dont know, the last decade?

T_Mac1, good points. As much as it seems I dont, I really am hoping that all this is just because of the surgery. I hope he does get healthier if that's what it takes. Like I said, I'm a Rockets fan and anything that makes my team better, I'm all for it. Whether it be McGrady gone, or McGrady healtheir and hungrier for this years playoffs.

learn sports. i dare you. give me a freakin break with the tearjerker you are spinning.

we lost last year because we didnt have Yao. we had our best regular season in years and our best player was out. this is tracy's fault?

the regular season winning percentage we currently own is enough to get us home court in the first couple of rounds this year.

your point is old, rehashed, and nothing original.

I guarantee the Rockets will pass round 1.

look, i'm just as frustrated as you b/c *******, inconsistency sucks. it's like having a gf who's in her period and her moods go up and down every damn hour it seems like. it's frustrating.

and it is the recovery period for tracy. you can see that the inconsistency has decreased from earlier in the season. this is his first really bad game since coming back (so i'll take one bad game out of 7) unlike earlier when he had a bad game after 1-2 games. that's much worse.

i know you're not a tracy hater or anything b/c the stats you brought up ARE TRUE. and knowing how good he can be, yes, it is frustrating.

but i think if you stick with him long enough for him to get healthier, you'll know why the organization still wants this guy. this is a guy who just put up 21, 7, 7 just coming back. when he gets healthier, there's no reason not to expect better play.

look for him to have a great game v. the hornets.

They stole home court from Dallas and Utah(two years ago) and where did that get them?

tracy and yao have done their part in the playoffs. our role players were not even close to what they are now.

if our role players do what they have done, i expect a WCF trip at least. i wouldn't worry about tracy. you'll know what he does in the playoffs.

No. Pierce got to the ECF. He's been out of the first round without KG and Allen. Don't tell me the East was weak back then because McGrady was in the East too so he had the same competition.

right. we get it. they lost in the playoffs.

they also stole Ron Artest from Sacramento and with the emergence of Brooks, Landry, and Scola, we will be the team to beat come April-June.
oh and did i mention that Yao guy?

and stop with the consecutive posting. we get the point.

I'm responding to 3 people. You're not the only one I'm typing to.

So far, all of your(110street) excuses have been null and void. Great record, home court... Any more?

Your mind is made up, your point is recognized, but no one agrees despite the "facts".

I'd be mad if I only cared if people were on my side or not.

It's called a discussion. However, I've learned that if people don't like what you say, instead of replying with something of substance, they'd rather reply with "get laid" or "find another team." Great points.

If in my original post I had numbers saying McGrady was putting up 35/5/5, everyone would have commended me and said, "great post." Learn how to discuss something. I showed you the error in your Pierce post and now you have nothing.

Fine. I agree that these are improvements over last year, even though we had Scola last year. Basically, we're in a wait and see mode. Wait for the playoffs, dont start letting the regular season tell you what's what. That's all my point was.

Its called tact, when you post things along the line of "so long loser" instead of "I think we can better spend our money elsewhere" you are inviting confrontation. You didn't want discussion, you wanted to be controversial and start a flame war with people who enjoy Tmac being here. You cherry picked stats that supported your arguement, while conveinently ignored other relevant stats such as playoff numbers.

Yea you would of been commended, because people enjoy sharing in the good times and the celebration of players. Again, this isnt a discussion, this is you trying to bully your points across and then trying to act smart by claiming how wonderful a debater you are. Paul Pierce went to the ECF in a weak conference with Walker in his prime. That team would be crushed in the WC that we have had to deal with in the past few years.

    lol

Who was I bullying? I had discussions going on in here. Trading stats with T_mac1 and everything. You scared of the internet?

I even told you not to mention the East was weak back then and you still did it. That helps MY argument. McGrady was in the East too! Antoine Walker? LOL. No one likes Antoine Walker. His teammates, fans of whatever city he plays in. Heard his mom even got him Slim Fast for X-Mas. Antoine Walker is a cancer as a teammate. Pierce should have been awarded medals or that.

They beat the Pacers who had O'Neal, Artest, Tinsley, Brad Miller and Reggie Miller.
