if we end up parting with ariza it will likely not be for a great defending wing, simply because there aren't very many of those out there. which makes not having given KJ even 3-4min a game this season look even dumber. he could have been ready to step in and slow down opposing wings.
He is already elite. Elite at being a shut up leader. He is shutting himself down on the defensive end.
is there an up and coming young swingman stud waiting on the bench or in the d-league to replace ariza? If not, why bother.... can't just get rid of a guy just cause he's struggling, you better be very sure his replacement is either an upgrade or equal talent/skill
A couple I can think of. Bazemore and Crowder come to mind. I think Celtics are very high on Crowder though, but his hustle is amazing. Future DPOY.
