I don't know. I feel bad for the guy and even for the girl. Yeah she screwed up, but thats kid of lame how it went down. Habdle that junk off the air. Dude is just as dramatic as women are typically viewed. Sure she got hurt in the end, but she would have if it was done off the radio too. Plus I'd be curious to see how long the dude stays away. Some of you could say no way on taking her back, but I would bet most on the site have let at least one person get away with more than they should have. The DJs also struck me as uber-douches.
Because it's fake. I can't believe how many people are debating right vs wrong on something that was obviously not even real. The radio stations arrange these phony calls, and people keep falling for it, over and over. Of course it's not real. Because, as Dave_78 pointed out, no radio station wants to be the impetus behind some guy/gal committing a crime because of one of their shows. So, say it with me everyone: "It's a "
Not saying its true or false, but this statement is silly. I dont think it really matters to radio stations because they arent responsible for any crime. Look at the show Cheaters. That is 100x worse, because its all on video...you think the television station is worried about a possible crime that might occur? There are lots of shows on TV that exploit things...if radio stations are worried about being the impetus behind someone committing a crime, then we should pretty much destroy all media outlets...radio, television, computers, etc...
For those of you saying its fake where is the proof? With that said, if it is real she got everything she deserved. If my girl did that to me, then lied about it...twice... I wouldn't ever feel sorry for her. I have a lot more self pride and respect to ever let her take advantage of me. Period.
Where's the proof that it's real? Radio stations have been "exposed" (they don't really hide it too hard) for setting up these kind of calls before, so it's quite logical and reasonable to assume that this is just another setup. What's more likely: A.) A guy comes up with an epic burn of his girl spontaneously and she just sits there on the phone and takes it. or B.) It's scripted.
BWA-HA-HA-HA! Did you really just mention "Cheaters"? "Cheaters", the most staged, fake show in the history of TV? I don't even know where to begin with that. How about here? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheaters#Controversy Entertainment outlets have been very careful since the infamous Jenny Jones murder, in which the TV show was found to be liable in the shooting death of one of it's former guests (decision later overturned). Shows quickly realized that fake confrontations garner just as many ratings as real ones, without all the nasty litigation and assault/death/suicide, etc. All I'm saying is: don't believe everything you see or hear. Snopes.com is around for a reason.
The burden of proof lies on those making a claim it is fake. There is no indication this call is fake, so if you don't have any proof of it, your accusation comes off as baseless.
I know that...in the same light, dont dismiss everything you see or hear...crazy stuff does happen in the real world, everything doesnt have to be scripted.
This ain't a courtroom. You want to believe everything you hear? You want to believe that some girl would stay on the phone and be humiliated while her boyfriend comes up with some epic burn? Despite the fact that radio stations fake calls all the time? Be my guest. Seems way too convenient. I call...
Assume for a moment that it was real...if the girl hung up the phone immediately, she would basically be accusing herself of cheating. She stayed on the phone, tried some bull**** excuse, it didnt work...she cried (which was impressive if she was faking it, because it sounded incredible) and after a few moments of crying, she did hang up the phone. Now, chances are that it was fake...but you cant assume one way or another. Just because many of these things are staged doesnt mean that they are all that way. And Cheaters, for the most part, is real...I had a buddy call and they investigated his girlfriend but found no evidence of cheating.
Exactly. IMO he seems to care as much about the relationship as she does since he obviously didn't try to find out 1) what happened and 2) how to fix it.
