Good Stuff! I would say don't rat. If someone is meant to get caught the Professor will catch them. It is not your place to snitch. Don't be a P***Y!
At first I thought everyone was being a little harsh on you, but you are just digging yourself a deeper hole here. You are essentially saying this- something shady is going on an BU Dental School that I have spoken to them extensively about, but have agreed not to reveal. And you've said that several times, like you feel like you have information that we all want and you are teasing us with it. You are not doing them any favors nor helping your situation. This BBS thread can and will come up on search engines. It's unlikely, but they could come under some fire if someone did tip off a news station up there and they were looking for a story.
I'm still having a difficult time grasping the fact that 99.9999999999999% of dental/med students cheat.
What I have learned from this thread: Med students are all a bunch of cheaters. I guess that is why healthcare is so screwed up in this country. I guess I will just have to suffer being an honest student.
From what I've learned from doing several med school interviews and talking with students there, it seems everyone "helps" each other with homework. They even have school forums where they post assignments, notes, and so forth. Now whether it's just one person doing the work and everyone else copying or it's a team effort, I don't really know.
8.2% You think that's a joke? You think that's achieved without a rigorous workout program and attention to detail? I've accepted your online challenge to fight me. I'm setting May 30 as a tentative date. We'll have a formal lunch at Westheimer and Montrose, Niko Niko's is my place, followed by some back alley verbal sparring. Then it's off to a secluded location where we'll measure the size of our penises and I'll backhand you out of pity. No weapons, no Persian crews, please shower beforehand. You ready Doctor?
From what I've gathered from rezdawg's responses is that basically one person does all the work (correct me if I'm wrong, rezdawg), and everyone else copies it (as evidenced by the fact that everyone completes their homework assignments in a very short time period, as logged by BU). What does the person who does the assignment for everyone else have to gain from this? Favoritism? It's a wonder that ANYONE gets through med school since it's such a "HARROWING" experience accoriding to Mr. Brightside and obviously rezdawg.
I empathized with the other stuff, but I must have missed this: Originally Posted by rezdawg Before a final exam in oral pathology, my friend went into the instructors office for some help...during the meeting, she got a phone call and went outside to take it while he was in the office. That is pretty bad stuff. That person should have their degree/license repealed, if there is any such thing. And as far as being an accessory...sorry, not gonna say any more. But this is very, very, very bad- and that's being polite. Still, hope you can put all this behind you.
Wow, this thread has gone from an extensive discussion about cheating to "I challenge you to a duel". I read the last few pages first and ended up going through the whole thing. It's crazy that all this happened from a CF thread. I guess you got more than you asked for from this Air Langhi haha. Epic thread indeed.
