So i just called comcast for the performance package of 29.99 for the first six months and 44$ afterwards. Then the agent said i could stop the service at any point, let's say, at the six month. No fees to end it or anything. This doesn't sound legit and doesn't make sense to me. What could stop anyone from renewing their service after the sixth month and pay only 29.99 again? Someone please educate me.

The thing is, i have a roommate for the next four months and i don't want to be paying this on my own.

If you're not signing a contract, you can cancel at anytime. As far as the deal goes, you're better off threatening to cancel once the sixth month comes. They'll likely offer you a similar deal

To get the deal all over again the way you described, you're going to have to be without service for 30 days, they're going to have to run your credit again, you're going to be subject to an installation fee again, you're going to have to return your modem, etc. So it's not as easy as cancelling, and signing up the next day later.

I don't remember to be honest but I think it was around $40. I would probably ask this to a sales rep.

Pay $10 more a month and get the TV package with 80 channels. It has CSN and you can watch all Rockets games.

Regarding the deals/promotions they give out for 6 or 12 months, I was told by a sales rep that once your promotion expires, you can apply for ANOTHER promotion that is available, but you had to wait a month before you could apply for another one. Just call them up and see what else they have discounted and just apply for that.

I'm on their Blast Plus package that comes with 70Mb/s down, 10Mb/s up, some channels like AMC, History, and Comedy Central (don't really watch TV so I don't even know what we have in it's entirety) for $90 a month. It used to be 60 something a month before my 12-months ended.

Once you first bill comes in, when you log-in online with your account information it will ask you when you make the first payment.

Own your own modem so you can drop it and add it back without paying fees again.

So i opted to self install the comcast modem, problem is the us/ds keeps flashing on all the cable sockets i connect to in this apartment. This sucks, gotta have to call the technician.

My one year new customer offer just expired for Comcast Internet. They were charging me 85 but I managed to get it lowered to 60/month and they upgraded the speed to 150mbs. The only problem is I'm checking my speeds on speednet and it's barely topping 20mbs right now.

Now I do have my cable with Uverser and they're offering me a bundle of U300 and 45mbs of Internet for 127 a month total.

I remember having att before a few years back when I lived with my parents buy always had problems. Has it gotten better since? What's the difference between Comcast and att Internet. I was speaking with an att salesperson and they said Comcast customers share the connection with various people while with att you have your own private connection where it won't be slowed down with a lot of people in the neighborhood online at the same time.

Also you should connect your computer directly to the modem via ethernet and check.

Moved to an area not serviced by Comcast but instead Consolidated Communications. I used to hate Comcast for gating Netflix. I had to swap routers but so far CCI seems to be working well enough on Internet and TV, but I do miss the Xfinity on Demand.
