I know this is almost taboo here, but my friend just got her free Ipod in the mail. It took about 7 weeks to get to her from the time they said he order was processing. I kept telling her it wasn't going to ever get to her, but I was wrong.
The setup they have is pretty confusing ... when you initially sign up, after you've entered in your address, it takes you to a Survey page. And in fine print it says 'Optional' but you think it's part of the thing cuz why else would they show it ... But you can just close that screen out once you've entered in your address and gotten to the first survey page. You should enter a valid, non-hotmail account and then they'll send you this verification email, click on the link in the email and then it opens up the main website again. Once there, complete one of the offers ... from what I've seen ... Blockbuster, Ancestry, EFax, Infone and Stamps.com are the easiest, fastest and most painless to cancel (BB and Efax you can do online) Then you have to get 5 folks to do the same and you're all set. There's a new site too ... www.mp3players4free.com which is a lot easier to work with ... no popups, and no spam guaranteed and so far they seem true to their word. Plus you can choose more than just one type of MP3 player ... like the iRiver H320, etc. That's it! Takes a lil work, but hey ... it's a free $300 product!
www.dealuniversity.com is pretty good too. I just got 100 DVD+r's for 30 bucks shipped. It's from amazon.
Are there still any free codes for ESPN Insider? I remember something like a college name and the division they are in used to work for the user name/password.
This is the mini-IPOD with the problems holding its charge, right? At least you aren't paying for it.
I was watching TechTV today and the freeipod dot com topic came up. They thought it was the real deal and even talked to the sites founder. They said it may take a month to get it but who cares if it is free.
