That's probably as close as you'll ever find, and even there, he does not remotely claim that anyone that opposes Obama is a racist. He says that there is racism involved in the opposition. Which there is - we know that when people hold up racist signs at the rallies. That does not remotely claim that everyone who opposes Obama is racist - just that there are racist people that do oppose him.

Nice try, though. Either you need to improve your reading comprehension, or you need to take your own advice about staying honest.

Fatty, why are you so upset? I'll be the first to admit there's a tendency in D&D to "pile on" when someone makes a post that's a bit "out there." It happens with both sides of the political spectrum. If a perceived "liberal" puts his or her foot in his/her mouth, the Trader_J, lower case texxx, basso (etc.) folks jump all over it. In a group. I've seen it many times. Sure, there are more liberals here. Personally, I find a lot more moderates here than liberals, which could be a point of view thing, but some of us liberal types can be a bit inflammatory in our responses. You have to admit that a thread like this is trying, deliberately, to get that kind of reaction. If people ignored basso's absurd multitude of idiotic threads, you wouldn't see nearly as much sarcasm and anger, in my opinion, from either side, or the middle.

I wasn't going to post in this thread again, but I usually read your posts and it's a shame that you are falling into exaggeration in your responses. Better to just stay out of a thread like this, in my opinion. If basso manages to make anyone look rediculous, his day is made. That doesn't deserve the reward of people responding. The thread deserves a quiet death. Again, in my opinion. Besides, there is already a Obama/Nobel thread, posted before this one. I still don't know why this thread wasn't locked. It would be in the GARM, were it about basketball.

 

I feel it would be better to have a separate thread for basso to act like an idiot and get piled on, instead of every pieces of poop going into the other thread. This way the other thread can still possibly have semi-decent discussion about the actual topic.
