As far as I say, when it comes to school, ditch the students. What do we need to educate them for anymore. We have robots. Let the kids play.
it only has knowledge up to 2021, but still seems legit - well, except the part it left out about "get Wembanyama" :
Even a chatbot knows we should focus on culture. This organization is dumber than some lines of code.
If the AI were following an evolutionary system, it's only conclusion would be that we would have to sacrifice Rockets with death until a superior team is forced to emerge.
Good piece on why it is bad at the things it's bad at. https://www.newyorker.com/tech/annals-of-technology/chatgpt-is-a-blurry-jpeg-of-the-web
The NY Times had a good article today on how to possibly build in methods to detect AI generated text. It's long and behind the pay wall so a few highlights. ChatGPT works on large language model so when it constructs a statement its not using syntax and semantics like a human would but is instead relying upon a range of words with a quantitative value score. It selects the next word in a sentance based upon the highest score. The scores are determined by analyzing tons of data of previously written text. A watermark could be embedded into ChatGPT by having a special set of words that have an artificially high score so then you could analyze a piece of text to see how often it used those words and if those words. In this way a pattern could be spotted like how someone detects the style of a writer because of they use words in situations where others might not. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2023/02/17/business/ai-text-detection.html
Reading through the thread, it seems some people see assisted AI as a solution instead of a tool. "Do my work for me" instead of a "Help me do my work".
Who would have won if the Houston Rockets played the Chicago Bulls in the 90s? ---------- It's impossible to say for certain who would have won if the Houston Rockets played the Chicago Bulls in the 90s, as there are many variables that could have influenced the outcome of any given game or series. Both teams were very talented and had their own strengths and weaknesses. The Bulls won six NBA championships in the 1990s, led by the legendary Michael Jordan, who is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The Bulls were known for their strong defense, quick transition game, and ability to close out games in the clutch. The Rockets won back-to-back NBA championships in 1994 and 1995, led by future Hall of Famers Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler. The Rockets were a dominant team with a strong frontcourt and a disciplined defense. If these two teams were to play, the outcome would depend on many factors, including the specific players on each team at the time, the strategies used by the coaches, the condition of the players, and many other variables. It's possible that the Bulls would have won, given their championship pedigree and the presence of Michael Jordan, but the Rockets were also a very talented and well-coached team. Ultimately, it's impossible to say for certain who would have won.
You are right. However, think that is ok. Think in 100 years we will look back on work as we do slavery. And ask ourselves why did we ever do it. It makes no sense. There will be resistance to that evolution in thought. But see it as inevitable. And a good thing.
At least it didn’t say that the Rockets two championships should be asterisked because Jordan wasn’t in the league. That puts it ahead of many paid basketball talking heads.
