Bwhahahahahahahah, I pwn the interwebz ! And let's not get distracted by the messenger, the message is the key here, Bud has broken out of his slump and that is great for the team, right, ROCKET'S FANS !!!! DD
It seems Aldmean just cant get enough suckition from Bud. 27 games of pure sucktion. T-Will better learn quick, untill then we are stuck with this 83rd pick.
I doubt it. Adelman wants him to contribute. They haven't given up on him. I admit that his position is somewhat insecure right now though.
Me too, but I think he will have to earn it in practice, and learning the plays on offense and defense first. He will get his shot, but I think it may be a while yet. If Cbud starts to struggle again, it may come earlier...but right now, CLee is playing great, CBud has picked it up, so there are not a lot of minutes to be had at the wing position. DD
The thing with Bud is that when he's on defense, he brings out the best of the opposing guy. Several times I've seen him defend pretty well, having a hand in the face of the guy who's shooting, but it still goes in. It's like if Bud is defending, then you know you'll score even if it's a tough shot lol. Recent evidence: Sam Young (Memphis), Jawad Williams (Cleveland)
Well, at least it seems Bud hasn't completely lost the ability to shoot the basketball over the summer. The early season slump seems to be just that-- a slump. Now, he still has some of the same holes he had before, but as long as he isn't shooting 16% from beyond the arc, you can afford to keep him out there despite these flaws his 3 pt shooting and finishing on the break (and/or off cuts) are significant assets.
There is no doubt CBud needs to work on his D, personally, I would like him to lay back some and attack on the shot, rather than trying to get up in someone's face, he has struggled with the lateral movement, so might as well play to his strengths.... Either way, we need his offense off the bench more than his D, when you are playing 2nd tier players, they generally are not going to be that good offensively, so any chance to exend the lead is good for the Rockets. Bud, and Miller fit the bill on the all O no D 2nd unit. DD
and for those who are curious i added up his +/- and it is 0 over the past 5. the rockets are +41 in the past 5 games. bud is averaging about 20 mpg in the last 5 games as well.
That was one UGLY shot. C-Dud shot it from the corner and it went about a foot on the other side of the rim. With the arrival of T-Will, Dudinger's days with this franchise are numbered. I expect him to be dealt near the deadline as a throw-in on a deal.
Glad to see him playing better. He might make a nice backup to T-Will once Battier's expiring gets traded
Wait a minute... I thought you wanted us to play the young guys with the most upside for the rest of the year, regardless. Now you want to play the guys who earn their minutes in practice? T-Will has more upside than Dudinger ever THOUGHT about having.
Perhaps he does, I would like to see some of that upside on the court, but the team is not going to play him until he understands the rotations. None of us know whether TWill can even play the NBA game effectively...but a lot of us would like to find out. I guess we will just have to wait..... And I do want to play the younger guys, but I am not the coach. There is a vast difference in discussing what I want versus, what I think the organization will do......comprende? DD
Buds days are numbered. No way he stays ahead of Williams much longer. The minute Williams gets with the program, Bud will be a memory. Shooting slump my rump. Bud is just way too inconsistent to be in a slump.
Did you see him play last year? You know, an entire YEAR in the league? I guess that was just a lucky consistent YEAR...huh? SMH ! DD
