All your observations are spot on, but this is one of my biggest problems with him, besides the fact that he does not compete. He is just not showing any improvement. And if it was just an isolated incident, just the beginning of this year, I would give him a break. But that is not the case. He has been basically the same player since his senior year in HIGH SCHOOL. He showed zero progression his 3 years at Arizona, after being highly touted when he first got there. That in addition to everything else you said was one of the biggest reasons, biggest red flags that he fell so low in the draft. Now people who want to make excuses can point to the turmoil and coaching changes during his time at Arizona, but Jordan Hill went through the same thing and that did not stop him from developing.

Look, maybe saying I HATE the guy is hyperbole. Again, that is just the emotional response from a fan of the TEAM watching someone hurt us. I apologize if I offended anyone. I mean, I don't literally hate him, how can I? I don't even know him. I DO literally hate how he plays though, and would gladly settle for never having to see him on the court again. Not playing for the Rockets anyway.

I'm with you. Last year we heard the same thing about Ariza. People on the board HATED him and wrote tons of insults yet did not receive this kind of backlash.

If you are playing like **** and it's hurting the team then you deserve to be called out. Morey traded Ariza because he thought he could save some money and that Bud would develop into a true backup for Battier. He has regressed and is hurting the team now, forcing Morey to trade for Williams.

I've seen lots of good ball players that fizzle out or couldn't ever make it in the NBA. I like Chase but he could be one of them. I'm always skeptical of rookies, (Maloney, Drew, Mack, Griffen, Cato are some that have made me that way). He has lots of potential, but he has lots to learn. They'll sometimes look good right out of the gate, but wilt very quickly.

IMO many over hype the youngsters around here. Everyone is looking for the next big thing, it's easier said than done. There were many that wanted to replace Shane in favor of Chase. How about JT? Let's develop our youngsters??? and what?? tank? Ish? and what tank?

I really do like these guys but they still need to earn their time and learn from the vets. That's how'll they'll get better, that and practice.

On a side note: I coach youth baseball and I'll go with experience every time. It makes a big difference in game time experience. Some players look great at practice and crush the ball, but put them in a real game, the pressure gets to them and they can't even figure out what to do. The game moves much faster and more chaotic when the game is on the line.

Chase just need to keep working and when he gets over the hump he'll get his chance. Right now he needs to move to the back of the line.

Your apology is not necessary. Especially since you have no control who plays are doesn't. And since I am sure Mr. Adelman knows more basketball than you have forgotten, if he sees fit to play Bud long minutes off the bench than how can you think you know better. I know it's a forum and you can say what you want within reason. But you have to ask yourself are you incapacitated for some reason.

Perhaps you are on medication. But fortunately Adelman sees Buds whole game and at times he thinks Bud deserves more minutes on the court.

Coaches get fired for being stupid too. Don't forget that. I'm sure Morey gave Rick a nice talk right around the time Jordan Hill started playing more significant minutes.

    LOL. Easy there buddy.

Perhaps Adelman saw something in Jermaine Taylor's whole game too and felt he deserved more minutes on the court. Right before we shipped his ass out of here.

Can't combine a trade exception with a player in making one trade. Exceptions can be packaged with picks but not combined with player(s)
