Jason posted some interviews on his twitter page. Here is Battier's... Link to Battier's interview Why am I posting this? Because it has CBUD shooting jumpers in the background........HE must be close. DD
Yeah... but none of his shots were going in because he's not jumping on his shots.. i doubt he's close to returning.. maybe one more week
Surprised to hear that based on the Rockets recently saying (I thought) that he'd be out till mid January. Sounds like good news though.
Just watch the video, he is jumping fine and moving around on the court even doing some spin moves etc.... DD
DD try not to bring C bud back to fast we don't want him to have a nagging ankle for 3 to 5 weeks like Shane had the first of the season. Let him heal up completely OK?
The season does not depend on Air Bud taking flight too soon; the future may require major court time. (Let's hope he isn;t a pawn in a McG deal... )
I was thinking of some else than Battier. It could turn Budinger into the next T-mac, where he misses more games each season. Eventually, he would miss more games than he plays.
Anyone else see Brooks turn his ankle with nearly the exact same motion during the Hornets game? Instead of falling, he jumped off his ankle and completed the lay up. I guess there is a benefit to having those little bent crab legs after all. =)
cant make threads so I guess this is the best place to put this..... http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/art_garcia/12/30/insider/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt1 Give-n-Go: Chase Budinger, Rockets rookie forward AG: Not a bad rookie year. CB: It's been going well so far. The one thing that says it most is I'm on the court playing. (Note: He's currently out with a sprained ankle.) AG: How do the Rockets get it done? CB: This team knows what we have. We don't have our big guns out here, so every night we have to be the hustle team and bring the energy. If we don't, we lose. We have to play a certain way and that's how we've been playing all year. Scrappy, hustle. When we do that, we win. AG: What's it like going against players you watched on TV growing up? CB: It's shell-shocking playing against guys I've been watching for years and years. To be able to play against them is a great honor for me. I'm a competitor and going to do my best against them. AG: Biggest adjustment from college at Arizona to the NBA? CB: The travel and playing 82 games. In college you used to playing only twice a week -- for me it was Thursdays, Saturdays -- here you have back-to-backs, games at home one day and travel the next. It's a constant ride.
Posters here need to know how to search for most updated information from the Chinese websites..... Chase Budinger had rid of his protective boot, and had returned to team practice..... http://sports.163.com/photoset/0USG0005/49606.html http://sports.sina.com.cn/nba/photo/86582/index.shtml
DD whats your definition of close? He's not doing anything full speed, even that spin move wasnt much. He's got a trainer watching him on every drill and he was talking to the trainer about his ankle early in the video. Seems like he's not ready for full speed yet, just barely getting back on the court. I'd say at least a week, possibly 2 if they take it easy on him.
Budinger a week away Rockets rookie guard Chase Budinger, out since he sprained his left ankle Dec. 19, did some light shooting at Wednesday's practice, but he's likely still at least a week from playing. He is out tonight and not expected to play Saturday in New Orleans. There is a chance he could play as soon as Tuesday in Los Angeles, but the Rockets consider it more likely he would not return until after the Lakers-Phoenix back-to-back. The Rockets' next game would be Jan. 9 against the Knicks. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6793033.html
