    Doesn't scout report say Chase has a 40+ inch vertical?

    A 40+ inch vertical is a recipe for a great volleyball player (and basketball player)

    So do you also get annoyed when they mention Yao is the "great wall of China" or how tall he is? What about when they talk about Scola's international play? Or that AB is fast?...I think you are giving way too much importance to a meaningless comment.

    I don't think it's a big deal. It's almost as if they need to reassure the crowd that ya Chase looks goofy but he can jump because he played volleyball.

    Only thing is it's a local crowd so most of us already know this! Right now League Pass is free on lots of providers so maybe they are using it as a platform for national viewers.

    I don't really think it's worth a whole thread, I find things that Clyde say far more useless. Clyde is a nice guy but he sucks at commentating.

    its a bit annoying, but entirely irrelevant. Plus, there are new watchers every game, young people who have no idea who anyone is or what they've done. I was a 10 year old watching bball with grandpa in 1990 and I had to learn like everyone else what was what, who was who, and so on. Well, there's a new Rockets fan born every game.

    I don't mind so much. To one or more people, its new news each game.

    This... he wasn't just good... he could have been the "Kobe" of volleyball. Didn't they say he was tabbed to be the next Karch Kiraly... you know that guy who won multiple gold volleyball medals in the Olympics?

    From what I've read on some blogs, he was possibly US Olympic Team good. Chase could probably have made a nice living playing volleyball.
