Chase Budinger is in the 2012 Slam Dunk Contest

man i was hoping for dwade or lebron. Kind of like vince and tracy, being on the same team and doing a dunk contest. Using yao in a dunk would be cool but knowing yao would be worried about an injury id doubt he would try to be dunked over.

- its gonna be shumpert or george.. and this is purely basedon dunking abaility
- bud has the race/suprise factor but i dont think he has enough hang time
- but... it would be cool for him to dunk overa lowered volleyball net
- derrick williams was a horrible pick
- it would have been smart for lbj to pick this year
- twill is still the best dunker on out team

All of a sudden, this All Star weekend becomes relevant to me again.

I like the idea of dunking over Yao. Better yet, have Yao sitting and sipping his red wine and then Chase dunk over that.

How come no Rockets are part of the All-Star Weekend?

Why did HE get picked for the dunk contest?

I hope he wins. It's unlikely, but I am looking forward to this thing for once. I think some of these young guys are gonna surprise you. All of them know they have a chance of winning, so they will put in some effort to add some creativity.

Dunking over a volley ball net that is 3 feet away from the basket would be nice.

chase has to be one of the goofiest dunkers in the league today, this competition has really on its last legs if budinger is a contestant..

Lowry better be in the Skills Challenge

 

Lowry wouldn't do well in the skills challenge. Much better options out there.




Chase is a vertical dunker...to have a chance he needs to pick dunks that are all about getting as high as possible. Unfortunately those usually look best in games. He could try dunking off the corner of the backboard and just getting up really high. Maybe a 360 statue of liberty, but i'm not sure he can spin quickly enough.
