Not sure....but it depends upon the needs of your team.......

And Chase fits our team, perfectly, we already know this, so do you take a chance at a player that may have more upside in Turner, or do you go with a proven guy like Chase?

I would keep Chase, because of those factors.

It is not as simple minded as some of you are trying to make it.....much more complex....

And I like Evan Turner a lot......

Budinger over Turner? I think you just threw logic out the window.

Oh Wow. Now your just mindlessly defending what you said, because you don't want to be wrong.

    Props though, props.

I haven't read Justice in years, but I thought the knock on him was being a flipflopper. I can safely say I'm pretty set on my thoughts on the team over the years. If anything, I'm probably closest to Solomon for been overly negative on the team in general.

Of course, I can be a dick sometimes. If that's what you're getting at. ;)

Not at all....I like Turner but it is a risk taking him and hoping he fits in as well as you know CBud does.

I would love to have Turner, but I would never trade Cbud for him....

Alright. I hope you truly believe this and not just defending your post for the sake of defending it. Hey, everyone's entitled to an opinion. I just wanted to be sure because it didn't seem normal to think of Budinger in the top 5 lottery range.

In all fairness, DD is correct. He makes less than $1 million for another couple years. We already got enough production out of him last season to warrant his buy price and his 3-yr contract. And if I had my druthers, I'd have him starting at the 3 spot next season. He is our best small forward right now.

The great thing is Morey is a master at picking up these guys at the top of the 2nd round. Frankly, I'm hoping a guy like Larry Sanders somehow slips to the 2nd round this season and we can nab him for pennies.

I think Budinger has Superstar ability, and it will depend entirely upon mindset as to how far he will go.

Come on DaDa, are you saying he's better than Spanoulis, Air Langhi or Boki?

No need to move to the extreme in defending your case. Most of us value Bud and would like to keep him.

I think Cbud has it all, brains, talent, and ability.......

Out of the others, I do think VSpan could have developed into a very good player......

Boki, I was right about 4th-8th player on a roster, and Langhi...well.....I learned a lesson about summer league games.

    :)

But it is funny how no one mentions Yao, or Scola, Brooks, or others that I liked......guess it would hurt their point, huh?

Wow, DaDakota really either needs to hop off of Bud's tip or marry him already sheesh.. I mean yeah Bud is good in all, but you're acting like he's God on the court.

Not at all, I am saying he has all the tools, his mentality will decide how good he becomes.

I'm fairly confident Chase Budinger will never be an all-star. The fact that you think that just shows how big of a homer you are, which is fine for this website. Just do me a favor and never apply for a front office job? ;)

Ok, I agree, but you would honestly trade Kevin Martin ahead of Bud??? Martin is a proven beast! Bud, while gifted with plenty of skills, has only played one year in the NBA. At this point in the development of the Rockets, I say you keep Martin before Bud. Next year Matin can easily be a 22/4/5 guy once he gets acclamated with the system.

I'm not hating on Bud, it's just you have to be more realistic.

Yes I would only becaue Kmar has been injured a LOT and his efficiency has been in decline the last few years.

    Honestly, I would rather keep:

    Brooks
    Kmart
    Budinger
    Scola
    Yao
    Hill
    Lowry

And the rest could be traded as far as I am concerned, and if you are getting Bosh, you could add Scola to that trade list....as well.

In this draft Bud would be a top 17 pick, which is pretty impressive comparing how deep it is!

Yeah, I say keep both Bud and Kmart. I just don't wanna see Martin go because I see how well he can fit with this team. And as far as i'm concerned, Trevor Ariza should have been gone ages ago..

As much as I like Budinger, I absolutely take Evan Turner over him. But I think Morey is targeting Cousins.

Would I trade Budinger for Cousins? Won't ever happen, but absolutely.

Then why would you trade for Wall's upside over Budinger's proven production? Wall isn't any more proven than Turner, and Brooks is far more productive than Budinger. Yet, you'd trade for Wall and not Turner. You're being logically inconsistent.

Wall is at the PG position, we already have 4 SG/SF's....in Budinger, Ariza, Battier and Taylor.

But if you get Wall at PG, you can put him behind Brooks while he learns and trade Lowry, then when Wall is ready, Brooks can be a tradeable asset, or you can trade Wall if Brooks takes off.

More options that are better overall for the team.
