This should be a guarantee that we now get into the top 8.

I agree White or Sullinger would be great at 18 if we ended up keeping the pick. I'd rather swing for the fences and go for Sullinger.

I'd be willing to take the chance on Sullinger back issues and all. It's certainly a risk/gamble but if his back holds up it could be a huge WIN. This situation reminds me of Dejuan Blair except Blair was never the prospect Sullinger is and although nobody knows how bad Sullinger's back is ... I'm thinking Blair's knees were a greater concern.

Besides, if Sullinger does indeed hold up you'd have to think he's just a bit perturbed about getting snubbed from the NBA Draft. To go from one of the best HS prospects, to being the man at OSU and basically guaranteed to be a lottery pick to where he might be drafted at now has got to put a chip on the guys shoulder. Sullinger is a winner and now he has extra motivation to prove it. Body willing of course.

We traded his rights to the Knicks and he played a few games with them. But he did become big in the Euroleague. He won MVP. He went a few years considered a top player in Euroleague, for sure.

It was ironic that, we all hated that pick, then he won MVP and some newbie posted "should we try to sign this guy" and everyone was shaking their head...yet, talk of other top Euroleague players always created interest....just not Mirsad...so sad.

All teams care about IS WHAT HAVE THEY DONE RECENTLY. Chase has done a lot recently, just look at his stats. I think we prefer to give them Martin for the 18th pick IF we don't plan on pairing him with Dwight or trading him to get Dwight here.

THIS IS NOT THE SAME DRAFT AS OTHERS

Royce White is easily taken in the top 10 last year.

Just think If Budinger is worth a the 18th pick in this draft, what is Kyle Lowry worth.

You dont think we could have traded him to the Nets last year for their top 3 protected pick. Also we would have sent him to the EAST

No because the Nets had Deron Williams at Point Guard last season.

The chances of that happening are very slim. It could only happen after Howard is dealt. If dealt to NJ, I'm sure the Nets would accept the offer. If Howard is traded to the Rockets then they use it themselves in win now mode. They'd be pretty thin so I'm sure they would keep it to fill a need and probably not take the best player on the table.

Did the Rockets also give up the right to Lior Eliyahu in the deal?

    Yes

Budinger has a very appealing contract ($885,120 this season); more so than Lowry.
