I've also noticed that in recent years the Lakers opening schedule for the first few months are usually very favorable--definitely an advantage in building team chemistry and team confidence, which helps them battle the tougher schedule in the 2nd half of the season.

Also, has anyone else noticed that it seems like every nationally televised game of the Lakers are always played in the Staples Center? Kind of irrelevant to any type of favorable treatment, but something I just noticed.

Yeah last year something like 17 of their first 20 games were at home. This year their strength of schedule lakers are like 29. David Stern continues to gift the lakers as usual with a favorable schedule.

Look at their list of teams played. It reads more like a list of the whos not who of the nba. bolded teams might make the playoffs:

    Golden State
    Memphis
    Sacramento
    Toronto
    Portland
    Minnesota
    Denver
    Phoenix
    Milwaukee
    Detroit
    Minnesota
    Golden State
    Chicago
    Utah
    Indiana
    Memphis
    Houston
    Sacramento
    Washington
    Los Angeles
    Chicago
    New Jersey
    Washington
    Indiana
    Philadelphia
    Toronto
    Milwaukee

This means including the miami games yesterday they have played 6 games against teams that might or should make the playoffs ALL SEASON. Why is stern such a joke?

Auto wins early put the playoffs more within reach when the 2nd half teams start to tank it. It's just like las vegas where the odds are stacked in favor of the house. This is not by accident and is part of the NBA plan to have Lakers there.

This is nothing new and the lakers have always been gifted by stern. It's getting more and more obvious each year to the point that I am beginning to be embarrassed being a fan of NBA and this mockery.

If David Stern could schedule the washington generals and a few high school teams for the Lakers he would. I am sure it has to do with nba trying to appease LA while they are without NFL. It's a get while the getting is good mentality from LA for LA revenue.

Just another example of why the lakers are a joke. That last year game 7 and the 2002 WCF should have proved that. I wish I could be at a game a heckle joey crawford. I want courtside seats that I can go off on him about.

The lakers have the easiest schedule because they don't have to play the lakers. Its a schedule, it all amounts to the same thing.

There's definitely a conspiracy. Kobe Bryant is actually a Russian spy and David Stern is Vladimir Putin in disguise.
