Charlie Palillo leaving 610???

Prior to Palillo joining 610, there were not much Rockets (or basketball in general) talk in the afternoon show. Palillo changed all that. I hope it doesn't revert back to the old form with nothing but UT football and Texan talk (nothing against Texans).

Nothing against Dalati personally, but I find him a bit abrasive. Palillo and Lord was such a good combo, I'm gonna miss that.

 

Losing Palillo would really hurt being a 610 listener. The guy is smart and a good speaker. He's the only reason I listen to the Afternoon Show. The show is crap without him.

I really hope this is a rumor.

I bet Charlie wasn't hip on the "guy talk" that 610 has gone to. I would imagine he would prefer to stick to sports.

 

That is just so wrong.

Is it something that will eventually come out? Can we get some better hints. Did Charlie have some sort of wardrobe malfunction? We're all on pins and needles!!!

 

I'm not a huge fan of any of the local sports radio shows, partly since I've been in Houston for less than 5 years, and partly because I simply like hearing about the national scene more.

That said, I do listen to 610 a lot and losing Charlie will be a big blow. It's not so much that I think Charlie is tremendous, but the dropoff between Charlie or Rich and David Delati is huge. When Delati fills in for one of the guys (which has been frequently as of late), I flip the dial to the insufferable Don & Mike Show on 650.

 

If Palillo is replaced by David Delati, I will never listen to drive time 610 again.

 

I never liked his pessimistic ass. Good riddance.

 

I would rather listen to a 4-hour test of the Emergency Broadcast System than Dalati's ramblings.

 

I don't love him and I don't hate him so I really don't care if he leaves. I may care after he's gone......

 

Is there any chance he'll be off the air for a time before returning on his own show to vanquish the evil that is the Dan Patrick show?

Didn't someone here mention once that Palillo was hooked up w/ Laura Reynolds?

Isn't Palillo married w/ kids? Is this another Hampton-Biggio type of scandal?

Those of you knocking Palillo as negative though, will love the extremely positive stylings of Dalati, ahahaha!
