That's because overrated has different meanings for each person. You see stats I see people calling him the greatest NBA player who left a team after posting a 2 year 60 win. Overrated especially with his decision. As for Dwight how can you even say he isn't overrated, the man gets compared to Shaq, Dream etc. That is overrated.
I didn't know Tayshaun had a rating. Still, he's SPOT ON in some of his analysis as to most of those players' disabilities. I only feel that he is incorrect as to the 2 point guards. Everyone knows Kidd is already that old, and Chris Paul defends fine...there are more smaller PGs that he can defend than bigger ones that he cant.
Who's Charley Rosen again .. Fisher should be here .. But Dwight Howard !!! Chris Paul !! LEBRON JAMES !! REALLY
The era of quality big men is over. DH is the dream and shaq of today's generation of pathetic big men. Plus, I don't really see anyone saying DH's talent is comparable to shaq or dream. In fact most acknowledge that he's the best largely by default, since Gasol is really a pf and Yao Ming is always injured. So how that's overrated? Most posters actually underrate him by saying all he can do is rebound, block and dunk.
I seen plenty of posts outside of CF stating silly comparisons, I even recall an article saying "Is Howard better than Bill Russell". If only Prime Ben Wallace averaged 7 more pts........
Agreed. The one thing I'll say is that I've always felt that Shaq's 'talent' was overrated. His skill was in his ability to physically impose his will on people, predominantly by way of brute strength and size. In the Lakers championship years, few centers could match up physically, and he never developed many moves that required him to shoot outside of 5-7 feet from the basket. Of any center in the past decade, Shaq is probably the best analogy to give when speaking about DH and his early career is resembling Shaq's in many ways....
If you felt Shaqs "Talent" was Overrated and than go on to say DH career is resembling Shaq in many ways?????Doesn't that just say DH is overrated.
lol nope. Most people criticize DH pretty hard for his lack of coordination and jump shot. I regularly hear commentators mentioning the fact that he has to develop a post game and more than one move....I rarely heard those criticisms about Shaq. If anything, the only real criticisms that were regularly made about Shaq's game were related to his free throw shooting abilities, or lack thereof.
Chris Paul and LeBron being overrated? Both might be divas off the court but they are by no means overrated as basketball players.
I'm pretty sure Rosen will tell you Lebron is the best player in the league. That doesn't mean the guy is not overrated. Don't believe me? Look where Lebron lands on NBA all Defense Teams year in and year out and then actually watch 10 or so of Lebron's games and come back with a straight face and tell me he is one of the top 5 (or even top 25) defenders in the NBA.
