I like Charles a lot. He is one of my very favorite players of all time. Perhaps the favorite, non Rocket.I like his humor etc. However I don't think he is right that T Mac should be driving much more. Charles was strong as an ox and relatively injury free,though shorter than those two. T Mac, certainly and to a certain extent Vince Carter are more injury prone. T Mac is basically skinny. Especially with T Mac,his lack of bulk,extremely thin base and bad back must be taken into account when you advise him how to play at present. He would not help the team at all if he got injured and could not play. It is hard for T-Mac to be as tough mentally as Charles on the court, when his body is failing him. Of course Charles is IMHO tougher mentally outside the court, too,but that is perhaps another matter. I will always remember Charles playing in the last game of a playoff series as a Phoenix Sun. As I remember he had 30 points and 20 rebounds while the other team maintained a comfortable lead maybe 10-15 points throughout. Maybe all his team mates were off that night. He had a decent number of assists. His determination and or pride was unbelievable till the end. Sorry don't even remember the other team. It was an otherwise forgettable game. He just kept plugging, but of course he was more than a plugger.
