[Charles Barkley] "McGrady is a better 'B' player than an 'A' player.

to elaborate some, his own 'logic' isn't even consistant. If Camby is better than Yao, that must makes losing Yao almost a non-factor to him. Dallas is down their star "mvp" caliber player, has sucked with Kidd (lost last 2 and 5-5 of last 10). The only thing they have going for them is they are at home.

The only thing that annoyed me was that Barkley said all our wins have been at home. Uh, we haven't lost a road game in over two months! Of course, we can't rely on Kenny Smith or Ernie Johnson to correct him; they never do.

I definitely agree with Barkley when he says T-Mac is a better "B" player. In my opinion, he is no longer a top 10-15 in the league. When he is healthy and hitting shots, sure, he's great. But so are a lot of other players in the NBA: they ALL are much better when healthy and hitting shots. You need to count all the deficiencies of McGrady, including poor shot selection and poor health. So there's no way -- NO WAY -- McGrady is top 10-15.

But I disagree with Barkley when he says that McGrady doesn't help his teammates.

lol guys guys, he's just there to act ignorant. if everyone was being fair any actually giving credit to the rockets you would stick to disliking the jazz, mavs and spurs. with chuck there we can all dislike his comments. I'm pretty positive the guy's still angry at the fact that he tried to win a ring here but didn't.

Kind of, yeah. Unfortunately, Yao is NOT in my top 10-15 by my logic.

    http://www.nba.com/features/player_rankings.html

Granted, McGrady is indeed number 14 on the list, and I know that it's just Maurice Brooks's opinion, but these rankings should illustrate how easy it is to fall out of the top tier of the NBA, and how vital health is to staying at the top.

i'm normallly a supporter of Barkley but even his comments got me fired up. ive never been this pumped for a game since the playoffs. we HAVE to win now, and at least kenny acknowledged us as a playoff team.

yes, health does dictate a lot so i don't disagree with you on that point. what i disagree with is when u said when someone is healthy and hitting shots, OTHERS are also better than tmac. that's false. when tmac is healthy, only a handful of players are better than him.

u gotta understand he has a team now. no longer can he take shots every possession and get good stats.

ever since the all-star break, he's been putting up 23, 5, 6 playing great in this team system.

and it's the MVP rankings, not necessarily the best players.
