I didn't say he wouldn't care about winning if he was ON the team, he just wouldn't care enough to sign for 6 or 7 million less than what he could make. You might say that you wouldn't want that much money, but if you had a contract sitting in front of you, I think it would be a different situation.

You are bonkers dude. I could use your same weak ranting logic for why the Rockets won't sign him. Les Alexander is a millionaire getting a free bundle of cash to build a new arena. What he can't afford a piddly $10 million to keep our city's greatest athlete at home? For such a principled man who does so much good for the community you would think he would do whatever it took to keep Dream. The bottom line is Les is too cheap to keep Dream and he doesn't want to take the heat for letting Dream go. Simple solution is to balk at Dream's requests and make it look like it's Dream's fault for trying to negotiate a fair salary. It's all Les Alexander's fault. The evil man from Boca. Yeah... that's the ticket. All of this makes about as much sense as your post. Hope you enjoyed it.

Your argument is ridiculous, if I were to ask casual fans on a poll who the second best player of the nineties was they'd probably say pippen. That's because he was jordan's sidekick and got the attention. If you have a poll asking who was the best center of the nineties you'd probably hear ewing. The point is the nation never got the media love for whatever reason. So what if our star wasn't marketable. I think if you ask anyone who actually knows b-ball who was the next best player to jordan during his era and they'll tell you it was Dream. If you ask me he's one of the few that was in mj's league. karl was no where near as great as Dream.

Karl was definately not the man of the 90's. He played like a wimp in the finals against the Bulls.

It's not about whether he can or can't afford to pay Dream 10 million. It's about a thing called a salary cap. If the Rockets waste 10 million on a man that will be in his 40's by the end of the contract, then Les, CD, and Rudy would all be idiots. They already screwed up with Cato, they better not screw up with Dream and pay him 10 million to sit on the bench half the season.

If I had 30 million in the bank, I don't think I'd really care about how much money I make. No matter how many times you guys try comparing his situation to a regular person having to take huge paycut, it doesn't float. When you're talking about having millions upon millions of dollars saved away somewhere, it doesn't really matter how much you make for 2 more years.

The thing I don't get is why was it during the talk about building a statue for the guy, people said he wouldn't want to have a statue built for him, yet he sure doesn't mind getting more lettuce to spend on another house or whatever the hell he hasn't wasted money on.

If he's such a humble guy that he doesn't like the idea of having a statue built after him, why does he care about how much money he makes?

"Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets.

I'm sitting here watching the final game of the season (again), and seeing Hakeem play so well, it saddens me that he may not be back with the club next year. However, if that is the case, at least he left the team on top.

OH, What a move by Dream!!!!!

Dude you are the one who sounds like a crazy ass weirdo. If he's a "huge liability" then why would you care if he left? What do you know what he's really worth? Considering the talent at the center position around the league, I would say he's worth a hell of a lot more than $1 million. Have you ever thought he wants to win so badly that he's willing to leave a lottery team for a team like the Lakers or Heat which has a much better shot at winning a title right now? What the hell are YOU thinking?

Let's wait how it pans out shall we? I mean Webber-KVH-SAR...GS players...the off season is not officially in swing yet and here we have people go judging Dream.

Dream will see the situation and if we do get Webber, then he'll be back.
