I think you and I were the only two that actually understood what Sir.Charles actually said.

Shoot...I would do weight watchers if they paid me too...

Kind of off topic, but why do people assume that athletes always want to come back to hometown to play? Especially if that hometown is Atlanta?

That was awesome. That has actually happened a few times when I was watching Rockets games on NBA Broadband International. Usually, they put some intermission music or something for the commercial break, but sometimes, they seem to forget it and you can catch what the broadcasters are saying to each other. Can't remember similarly blunt remarks, though.

I'm sure this has been mentioned by now, but it's kind of misleading to say he was calling it a scam... he just meant it was easy money. Like "I can't believe they're paying me to be on their program and TNT is paying me to watch basketball".

If I were Atlanta I'd trade Josh Smith for Luis Scola straight up. It's like they have five athletes and 1 brain out there, 2 when Tracy McGrady is playing.

If you're Houston would you do that deal though? Nothing about Smith says "winner" to me.

That's why Clutch changed the title to say "Charles Barkley calls Weight Watchers spokesman gig a "scam""

Imagine getting to hang out with these guys for a day. Would be a lot of fun. I bet Harlan is a riot off the air.

I think it would mostly be fun because of the stories they could tell (especially Barkley and probably Reggie). They've had very different lives compared to most of us... And it would be interesting to see how that stuff has changed their perspectives on certain things, like women, money, etc. I already know that being an NBA player has given Barkley a completely r****ded opinion on how the All-Star game should work: he wants to remove fan voting. Would be interesting to see what other completely r****ded, intriguing, or even profound opinions he had.

In terms of how funny they are or their ability to carry on a conversation, though, they don't look any better than several of the friends I (and many of us, I bet) already have. Harlan included.

Nothing pissed me off more during the Yao era was whenever Yao would fight for position on the block, finally seal his man off and call for the ball only to have whoever was trying to make the entry pass swing the ball away from Yao to the top of the key or the other side of the court. Clyde was probably witnessing that happen 8 or 9 times prior to this video
