dude you realize people who make these comments don't even watch the show or even watch the Rockets. look at the game threads, there are people who obvious don't watch the games and comment on it like they saw it. Try something like posting something that's a lie on purpose, put that Kenny said the Rockets will lose again in the first round and that Kenny said it on TNT last night. I guarantee too you people will reply "Kenny hates Rocket" Only a few of us posting on this thread actually saw the show.
Charles is a moron. I am sick of all of this Rockets hate. We are the best team in the league but everyone is too jealous to admit it. Screw Charles and even Kenny for associating with him. The next person who picks LA over us is going to die!! HATERS!!!!

Tinman doesnt hate the Rockets he is one of the biggest rockets fans there are. He hates new rockets fans who come here and act like they know all about the team when they know nothing about the history of this team.
Who cares what anybody thinks about the Rockets? They are going to kick ass this year and make people love them. Don't worry about Charles Barkley.
Too much being said about something that's gone on forever. So I'll chime in I think Rox fans get upset about it for a few reasons though... 1) As someone pointed out, lack of media respect for the rockets has gone on for a long time. It gets old, and CAN BE frustrating, especially when expectations among local fans are high. Analysis- This is to be ignored, or used for fuel to the fire, but not to be taken so personally. 2) Charles always seems ready with a hateful take on our ability. Maybe it's motivational, maybe it's hate because they should have won a ring when he came here and now he's a bitterman, maybe it's leftover from Phoenix scars. regardless... See analysis of #1. 3) What he usually says is true, AND he just has an offensive way about it. Again... see analysis of #1. Be glad we get talked about nationally at all. It only stands to reason that with a show hosted by two players that have worn rockets uniforms that there would be some amount of passion and yes, even myopia in either direction, regarding their potential and peformance. As usual, let Charles go... either he's right, or we prove him wrong. Either way, wasting time worrying about it is pointless.
I can't remember exactly what Kenny and Charles said about TMac last season; however, it was something like TMac was a ball stopper on offense. They griped about the fact the TMac would call for the ball, get it, and hold it for 5 seconds and launch a poor fade away jump shot. The ball never moved around and the other Rockets didn't cut ... in other words, that's terrible offense. Maybe that was fair to TMac ... maybe he is too much of a ball stopper.
dam people... i personally dislike tinman myself, but yeah, rockets have always been hated by the media. comes with being a team from houston texas. hell, the team was booted out of california. ny rockets fan should have a pretty thick skin about anything the media says. its always better to prove the doubting media wrong than to prove the supporting media wrong. i feel so bad for tim legler. so anyway, barkley should have won a ring. drexler f'd him in the a$$ if you ask me. BUT he isnt hating from wat i saw. he was just being barkley and actually nothing was hateful about his tone imo. and tinman is right. so quit ur whining people.

If you listen to that conversation closely you can pin point exactly why Barkley hates the Rockets. When he played for the Rockets he thought that it was his greatest opportunity to get a ring, especially playing along side Clyde and Hakeem. Like he said, he was "hungry"! He also had a history with Drexler. He accused him of playing too much golf and not caring enough. So, in other words, Barkley ultimately blames the Rockets for his lack of a ring, and therefore he hates the Rockets. Yes, there is some truth behind some of his comments, but you can make arguments like that about any team in the NBA. His comments lacked a lot of substance and reflected a lot of hate. **** Barkley!
And I'd add to it, that Chuck is probably pissed at the ROX cause his fata$$ blew out his knee and ended his career as a Rocket... and he probably feels guilty that the Rox gave up so much for so little return... and that guilt has turned to resentment.
