Please don't tell me that THIS is considered 'hating'. I get pissed off a lot at Barkley's comments but this is not one of them. Sounds like bored fans to me, and it sounds like Charles actually wants to see what the Rockets can do. They're not exactly a safe pick given all the health issues so I'm not expecting anyone who's not a hardcore Houston fan (see Kenny Smith ) to have our backs.
Barkley has a show me attitude thats all thats about. Stop being sensitive fans you just show him thats all the Rockets have to do. We dont know how Artest is gonna react to having a team like this.
The only thing he said that I disagree with is that the opening month will tell us all we need to know about the Rockets. At least based on wins/loss, I don't think the Rockets will be that great in the opening month.
This part unfortuantely is true - Mac can't hold Kobe's jock. Mac had the talent to be compared with Kobe but not the discipline or drive.
Cleveland only has 1 or 2 teams to worry about en route to the finals, and they played the best team in their league very tough last year in the playoffs. If they improve at all, they have a good shot. The Rockets are a better team imo, but they have to worry about San Antonio, Utah, Lakers, New Orleans, and yes, even the Mavericks and potentially the Suns. I think the Rockets are better than most teams in the west, but the Western Conference playoffs are a battle of survival. In the East, the only series that matters is the finals, in the west, every team could lose any series, unless they play Denver.
I don't think Barkley hates the Rockets. He predicted us to go all the way a couple of seasons ago. As previously mentioned, both he and Kenny speak about the Rockets with passion.
barkley didnt say anything that any rockets fan isnt thinking. we havent been out of the first round since barkley was here (if i recall correctly). that doesnt exactly make us a good team to bet on. if i didnt bleed rockets red i would prolly be skeptical too.

who the h*ll cares? I honestly don't like getting much love from the media... I mean we have a good looking team on paper but guys like T-mac need to stay humble and hungry...quit talking of how great we are and just go to work...respect needs to be earned and I don't think we earned it yet...
Well, this thread has raised my opinions on most Rockets' posters here... good to see that we're not sensitive p*ssies. Barkley kicks ass, who cares if he doesn't always have good things to say about the Rockets. He is by far the most entertaining studio commentator in any sport.
