Chemistry? Seems to me they are verge of a fight (which makes for good TV). Ernie spends most of his time refuting the silly conclusions that Charles says; which makes Charles look stupid (like the Yao/Amare comment). And Charles spends most of his time trying NOT to punch Ernie in the face for making him feel stupid. Kenny spends most of his time trying to *act* like Ernie (Kenny tries to pretend to be a professional commentator; impress Ernie). And Charles spends the rest of his time belittling Kenny for it (Charles knows that Kenny is faking it). How many times have we heard Charles make fun of Kenny for using "big words?" The sad part is that Kenny shows no backbone against Ernie or Charles. NOTE: It's soooo obvious that Charles struggles to say anything good about Yao or the Rockets. One, he resents the "if you can't beat them join them" debacle: We beat his Suns in 94 and 95 and he hasn't forgottent that. And after joining the Rox, he still didn't win a ring. So, he has no loyaty to the Rox. Two, Yao made Charles kiss a donkey's ass. He hasn't forgotten that either. Charles doesn't root the Rockets or Yao. And if they play well, he downplays it.
you must not realize how much of an act it all is. that is chemistry they have going and they all play their roles beautifully. they joke around and laugh waaayyyy too much to really have any hard feelings for each other. barkley knows he's just throwing crap out there and has fun with it and anyone calling him on it. they were hilarious last night. man i wish TNT had the two nights a week instead of espn. plus marv alberts is really good as well.
Yes. It true that it's good TV. That's why many like it (some would love to see Charles bash Ernie or Kenny upside the head! ). But sometimes, you can see Ernie get really mad right before the commercials because Charles is being a butt head, just because. And Kenny usually just stays out of it. Ernie has lightened up. But it still bothers him. And Kenny has gotten more brave in saying things in front of Charles. Many times Charles will just hammer Kenny right on national TV. You gotta know that make them feel embarrassed a bit. I actually wanted to write to Kenny and tell him to stick up for himself. He's was being a puss (a few years ago). Charles has stated that he was sick and tired of Ernie trying to make him look stupid; which Ernie had many times in the past. So, I guess, what I meant when I said that they didn't have "chemistry." I would say Ernie, Charles and Kenny have the same type of chemistry that a Cat, Dog and a Chicken would have if you locked them in a cage together. It's not really *chemistry*, but it's good entertainment, for sure!
They should get rid of Kenny, who brings nothing to the show, and get Jayson Williams in there. Jayson and Charles together again is a comedy goldmine. It is like watching Adam Sandler and Norm MacDonald in Billy Madison.
EXACTLY! IF you notice, when TNT or ESPN do the Rockets games...they rarely if ever say anything during halftime about the game itself....the do it for other teams...but rarely for the Rockets. It is just another in a long line of disrespectful actions towards the Rockets....but we should be used to this by now...its been going on for a long time. btw....Ill have the clip that Clutch refers to online in about 20 minutes. it was truley hilarious to see the looks on their faces when Ernie sticks em like that.... oh..and Im including the treatement the give Yao over the Swift facial....some of yall are probably going to be offended....

That's hilarous! Charles is trying sooooooo hard to NOT give Yao any credit. And Kenny is trying soooo hard to agree with anything that Charles says. When Ernie asked, "Who else after Yao? (other centers), you could tell Charles was quickly trying to think of another center that was better than Yao....Miller (14ppg), Vlade (retirement age), Shaq (East), Curry, Ilgauskas (East).... ...as long as it wasn't Yao. I didn't have any problem with any of their comments that have been mentioned here. I think what Charles was protesting wasn't Tracy McGrady being 2nd in vote, but Yao being first by a land slide. Yao is not the best player in the league. We all know that. I can understand his frustration. Yes, the All-Star game is a game for the fans and it is a popularity contest, but I can also understand how a player would like to see it based on merit. On merit, Amare Stoudamire deserves to start alongside KG and Tim Duncan. What I find interesting is what isn't mentioned here. The one thing Barkley said that did somewhat bother me was when he went down the list of great players who played with a chip on their shoulders and carried their teams. He listed pretty much everybody BUT Dream. I thought Kenny would step in and add him, but nothing! He must have listed 10 guys, including Karl Malone. Where the hell is Karl Malone's ring? DREAM, Charles! Remember him? The guy you once said was the greatest player on Earth? So in the end, it wasn't what was said that I found annoying but what wasn't said. Go figure.
Wrong..... watch the clip... HE says "Thats just wrong" after Yao is mentioned as top vote getted... then he hushes until Tmac adn Kobe are mentioned ...then he says "Thats just wrong too" at which time Kenny adds in..."anyone that plays with Yao Ming is going te be popular too" It is obvious they feel that Tmac and Yao have no business being in the AS Game....
