It makes no sense that an LA stadium would have a roof. It should be open.

It's not a 2 billion football stadium. It's a multiuse venue and it needs a roof. I'm sure a retractable roof would have been nice but the thing is expensive enough

It looks like it's a sun roof.

I can't believe anyone would build a stadium without a retractable roof these days.

    For football?

Its really not being used at all by any of the existing teams that have one (Texans, Cardinals, Cowboys, Colts). The Falcons are building a really expensive one with a tiny-ass hole in the middle... which will also probably never be open.

The see-through aspect of this stadium with a roof that will also have video/LED capability, is going to be really nice... and will immediately make the fixed-roof new stadium in Minnesota look outdated.

Yes, for Football. I don't like super wet games at all, and while I enjoy snow on TV, I don't want to go to a game in the extreme cold. I'd like to be outside when it nice out.

All that proposed water around the stadium...is that area not affected by the drought?

That's great... I like it too... but NFL teams have shown that they'd rather play in completely controlled conditions, regardless of what the fans want, and hence why the retractable part of the roof is largely a waste of money.

At least they'll see a good amount of sunlight (since its typically sunny) with the LA stadium. NRG allows for some of that as well, but not to this degree.

Rams are going to inglewood starting next year. Chargers have 1 year to work out a deal to join them. If Chargers end up staying put, Raiders have till 2018 to work out a deal to join the Rams.

And whoever stays gets $100 million towards construction of a new stadium in their current market. I think that's what I read, anyway...

Last I heard the Chargers had already decided to go ahead and jointly share the stadium with the Rams.

I would think the Raiders will use the $100 million(if they stay in their current market)to build themselves a new stadium, but we shall see

it was a necessity , it would have been too hot in the summer for baseball.
Not really a great NFL stadium.

You know it will be really awkward if Raiders owner Mark Davis and some Raiders players like Derek Carr and Amari Cooper show up at a Spurs-Warriors game. Then officially announced the move to S.A. while fans in Oakland are watching this on national TV. That will be the ultimate slap-in-the-face for Oakland sports fans.
