Paul George breaking his leg in 2014 set off a chain reaction of events for this franchise that they're still reeling from right now.

Lol jeezus christ. Look at their playoff history b4 typing that sht

Respectable route of getting Ls all day hahshahahshs

Bottom line this is what happens when u refuse to tank or rebuild and keep trying to win at all cost to have a "winning culture + playoff experiences".

Might make the rebuild faster. Draft picks may or may not pan out but as trade currency; could be used here.

Lakers for example; AD is a number 2 guy, even then they gave up their young players: Lonzo, Josh Hart, and FRP. They later gambled enough to be a bubble champion.

To get one near Alpha could trickle in a domino effect. Not saying we give up all young guys, but definitely keep an open mind.

The Kings don't tank though. They've been trying for like 15 years now. They just really suck. Bagley and Fox are their only top 4 picks. Other than that they've been mid lottery for over a decade. You tank so that you don't end up mid lottery. The Kings are the result of trying and doing it badly. They didn't even pick in 2019 cause they traded it to dump Stauskas to sign Rondo....

They didn't tank bro, they just flat out suck trying to win like u wanted. Refusing to sink to the bottom, signing sht contacts, and whiffing in draft this is the result.

    33-49
    38-44
    17-65
    25-57
    24-58
    22-44
    28-54
    29-53
    33-49
    32-50
    27-55
    39-43
    31-41

This is what happens when u refuse to tank. Try again, Pacers and the Kings have been doing what u and some folks wanted and this is what happens.

Hell we tried doing it pre-harden like those two franchise. It does not fking work.
Plus when they do get into top 5 via not tanking, they whiff. imagine choosing bagley over donic.

U r happy that the pacers r better than the kings, is like Texan fans celebrating AFC south division title to get ass blasted in playoffs. A huge fan of mediocrity

Are you forgetting we had just picked at #1 a few years earlier?

    What's your point?

Which do you think is more difficult in general, obtaining the number 1 pick, and drafting a Yao-like prospect, or trading for a 25-year-old super-duper star?

Drafting Yao didn't make trading for the 25-year-old super-duper star much easier to accomplish, I can tell you that. Either way, it was accomplished, and then we did it again 8 years later.

    Woah.

Myles is younger than Christian Wood.

His FG Attempts always been 8-10.

Not sure what he is thinking. He's exactly a rotation role player, nothing more. After 6 years in the league, he thinks he could have been a star if he was "valued" more?

This Ringer article begs to differ ;)

I think he has a case to be "more" though--he's done basically whatever has been asked of him by the Pacers organization and excelled every time. The problem for him is that he's on a team where the other best player also plays in the front court.

I don't think he is better than Sabonis. Both guys are good starters I would like to have on my team. But they are both role players. That's the problem with the Pacers. They have many good role players but no true stars.

Lmao. They cannot bring themselves to tank.

So your best players in history are Reggie, PG13, Jermaine O'Neal, McGinnis, Danny Granger......

Not Lebron, not MJ, not Dream, not Shaq, not Kareem or Wilt or BRussell.

Well, not many teams got MJ, Dream, Shaq, LeBron etc. Even if you tank, you still need a ton of luck to get one of those. Look at Portland. They got Lillard, a true star player. But that team is still far from sniffing championship because Lillard isn't on the same level as those historic guys.

You either have one of those great players or you have a Curry-Klay-Draymond combo. And you need to surround them with a bunch of good role players in order to have a chance to win it all.

Even if you 'only' get Kobe, Pippen, The Big O, Bird, Barkley, Malone, Stockton those are better than Reggie.

    Baylor, Worthy, West.

Reggie is ranked about 52-60 in Alltime.

The Pacers might be one of the worst second tier contenders in history.

I rank them below the Blazers, the Jazz, Sonics, Phoenix.

Drexler alone is better than having Reggie. Lillard and Reggie are a wash but Reggie is more clutch in postseason.

Lillard is the more clutch guy, better scorer in regular season.

Reggie will be ranked 50 spots above Lillard but in terms of skills, he is not that far away.

Sounds like something a NBA 2K player would say.
