I hear ya... and I give Terry props for what he did deliver last year... and at a cost of GETTING a couple picks to take him - he was a steal...

but why spend a roster spot on someone who doesnt have the juice to step up and play the extra minutes if needed?

and now he's a year older than he was last year...

other than the leadership factor, at this point Terry brings nothing to the table that dozens of other guys (with younger legs) couldnt provide....

if he was happy to take the min and remain part of the team - fine... but with his diminishing skills, he's in no position to make demands... so I say - screw him...

I don't think he's demanding anything. He's just exploring his options and waiting for the best one available.

He brings more than just leadership factor... He brings knlowdege and big game experience as well. It's not always about talent ... Especially on this team where we're loaded with talent and may have the deepest roster in Rockets history.

I didn't want to start a new thread on this because I don't know how credible they are...but according to sportsworldreport Hou has looked at bringing in Norris Cole. I only saw this because there's a James Harden #13 on Facebook (which I'm sure is a fan page) had a link staying as much. Like I mentioned, I don't know how credible they are so take it for what it's worth.

Doesn't make sense for anyone involved.

Cole is a restricted free agent with a qualifying offer of about $3 million. He can sign the QO and become unrestricted next year, or get a bigger deal with more money from the Pelicans.

The Rockets can't trade for him because Norris' new contract would likely take us over the apron, which we can't do since it would be a SnT.

The only way it works is if the Pelicans, out of the goodness of their heart, pull their qualifying offer (with Norris' consent) and Norris signs with the Rockets for the minimum (or close to it). But why would he take a massive paycut vs. the qualifying offer AND not be guaranteed playing time, which he wouldn't be with Beverley, Lawson, and Harden ahead of him? And why would the Pelicans waive the QO if they had any inkling that he would sign with Houston (an in-division rival)?

Not gonna happen. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets grabbed some no name point guard overseas for the rookie minimum.

If Terry is no longer a possibility, then look for Ridnour to be signed for minimum.

Damn we should've traded for Shabazz Napier when we had the chance. Quinn Cook is still available

I'll repeat this one last time. I knew he was gone right after the last game when he complained about nobody bothering with the help defensive on Dante Green. I knew it. It is a concerning disappointment fans shouldn't just shrug off when it comes to specific collapse of team effort during the most critical moments.

He wasn't a long term asset so it's not a big deal he's not coming back.

    danoman is correct.

When Terry was acquired no one expected him to play , much less play significant minutes as he was injured the previous season and his contract expiring. He was just another asset to flip at the deadline.

Only out of sheer necessity did he play ... and the Rockets were very fortunate that he played relatively well considering age and injury.
Even after his contributions , I wondered if Morey would flip him at the deadline ....

Terry was going to play. He was a contributor from the beginning of the season before the injuries happened.
