Character difference between sengun and kpj & jabari

He isn't ever going to be good enough defensively to anchor an elite defense as a center. He can get good enough to play the 4 defensively, or to be a secondary post defender. He is a lot like Kevin Love.

Having said that, yeah the Rockets should play him a lot of minutes and they need to have him work on his foot agility and three ball.

 

With the Rockets getting Victor, would you rather Sengun play the 1, someone who will get abused on switches and doesn't spread the floor, or go with Jabari, Tari, and VIctor playing positionless?

Both KJ and Jabari have ex pros for fathers and it shows. I don’t want to get into it again about KPJ. He’s got an anger problem but passion comes with that.

 

I don't think Wembanyama actually solves that many weaknesses of Sengun's - the fact that he's going to get switched onto P&R players and targeted relentlessly is still going to happen even if Wembanyama can clean up his mistakes by swooping in from the corner, the fact that Sengun can't/won't shoot from outside and isn't at home unless he has a whole elbow area and lane to himself to work with is still going to be there.

But honestly if you're drafting Wembanyama so that he can be a janitor for your "too small to guard bigs/to slow to guard smalls" nominal center, that's like buying a Bugatti Veyron and then street parking it so that you can take it to the grocery store on weekends - it's not the job he's designed to do. I'd move Sengun (and anybody else) who doesn't fit with whatever Wembanyama's weaknesses are rather than vice versa.

Like if you need PJ Tucker or whatever to go with him, that's what you get. He makes every player expendable.

 

Not humble, but respectful of others - which can't be said of some of his teammates.

 

It's not even hard, seeing for 3 seasons in a row the Rockets've been the shittiest team in the league.
I can't even be glad that Sengun's the best player on the roster.

 

Bring this one back its much better!
