Wow. It just puts perspective on how hard he managed to fall this season. Just inexplicable. Worse than the worst case scenario I imagined before the season.
38.5 from 1 corner and 41.7 from the other wow. From that same 29% area from last year, he is surprisingly (to say the least) shooting 36.7% from this year. The top 26.5% and opposite side 29.4% are his huge issues from 3 this year it seems. Right corner is his most efficient spot, least attempts. Left corner is his 2nd most efficient, his 2nd least attempts. Right arc has the most attempts and its his 3rd most efficient location from deep. 2nd most attempts come from the left arc and its his 2nd most inefficent spot. His most inefficient spot is from the top and its his 3rd most attempted. So pretty much shoot more corner 3s, less from the top/left arc. Surprisingly, again to my surprise, hes above average from the free throw pull up at 47.8%. Also, it appears hes just shooting much better overall from the right side vs left side. Interesting.
IDK man hard to stay optimistic. I feel bad because my brain automatically read your analysis other way around. As in; his most efficient spots are seems efficient because he isn’t actually taking much to reveal it. Like şf he takes more from those spots, those percentages will drop eventually. See, this is bad my body is losing hope.
Yeah i get it. No one wants to look at any type of positive with regards to Jalen anymore. Seemingly everyone just hates the guy as if he punched their gramma. He hasnt improved enough and has been incredibly inefficient. Trying to say anything positive is met with either disdain or crickets. But thats fine, it is what it is. Its a positive surprise, to me, hes actually got a few above average shot locations.
Kudos to you. Looks like you were (unfortunately) right about Jalen. I really still wanted to believe.
BTW, does it still count as "catch and shoot" if the guy waits like 4 seconds before deciding to shoot it (Sengun)?
Jalen Green starting to punk out? Pressure getting to be too much especially when you see a 19 year old rookie playing your position better than you so quickly. Maybe he actually is getting traded soon. I kept hope up for Green, lost 99% of it about two months ago, and now it feels like a 1/billion chance he'll be serviceable on the Rockets.
I was wrong to keep hoping for Green to fulfill his potential on the Rockets. I have given up on him. It's time to cut our losses.
Excited to see this lineup--could actually work if Fred shares ballhandling duties with Amen and plays off the ball a bit more.
