Even with his ups and downs he's been a lot better than last season overall.

Hopefully over the next couple of years he adds consistency to his game.

Why does Green have bad....stretches....of games? Doesn't have a bad game but goes entire 3-4 games with terrible turnovers, shooting, etc.

    Needs to be more consistent.

Age and lack of structured offense. Every game is a diff feel in terms of how the offense is ran. It can be confusing and prevents players from gathering some sort of rhythm.

Jalen’s game is clearly more well rounded than last season, so now even when he’s having shitty games, his numbers aren’t too ugly if we don’t look at the percentages.

Obviously he still needs to become more consistent, but I’ve been really happy overall with his last 8 games or so. I know he’ll just keep on getting better from here

    lmfao

He's the best player in the league if you don't look at the shots he misses.

Would prefer to trade EG, KPJ as 6th man, add a Vet PG via FA. Trading Green or KPJ will not solve any problems

He’s nowhere when the game is close because KPJ wants to take the shot and he is the PG. no one touches the ball but KPJ in those moments.

The only time I can think of a 20 year old of the ceiling of Green being traded recently is Halliburton and people are still making fun of that trade to this day.

You don't trade a blue chip 20 year old who has met to exceeded expectations. Wtf?

Clearly the point they were making was that even on games where he doesn't shoot well, his rebounds and assists are higher so he is contributing in other ways, unlike last year.

Trading Green would be a catastrophic failure.

He was our second pick and he's meeting expectations. Why the hell would a franchise trade him?

If Green never progresses by the time his rookie contract is ending, that's when you consider it an option. We are so far away from that.

Why do we have to trade before ever trying KPj with a green light off the bench? Maybe Jalen ultimately is the one who is best served as a Jordan Clarkson SMOTY role, but it's too soon for a #2 pick to get demoted in that way. You risk too much. We're way too young to start rubbing the top picks the wrong way especially while dealing with the frustration of losing. It makes zero sense on such a bad team to make your top lottery picks come off the bench for other scrubs with far less potential.
You're asking for a trade demand if you do that and the attitude trickles down to Bari and he ends up on a short fuse. It's a stupid move and you risk a cause and effect chian of events that glue us to a treadmill of mediocrity like so many other poorly ran franchises.
KPj is the one on a short leash career wise in the NBA.
Trading EGo for a strong ball handler to start in the backcourt with Green and allowing Alpi to better integrate in the starting unit - experimenting with KPj at 6th man as both facilitator or green light scorer with his lob threat in Bruno off the bench is the logical move. I'd envision KJ working better with the bench unit and Tari with the starters, but it can be experimented with too.

You really want to trade Green, it better be at minimum for Scoot Henderson and make KPj a more traditional SG.

Why would anyone even think Green's trajectory is 6th man microwave oven like Clarkson?

https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/mo...s has averaged the, player, with 29.3 per game.

Dude is top 10 all time in ppg for a 20 year old. That just shows you how difficult it is for players his age to score in the NBA. Ya it's happening more often now because there are a lot more one and done players out of high school entering the draft than ever before. But even if that was the case, you still would expect a lot more players in today's era on the list.

Green would have to essentially cease all growth at age 20 in level of play to flat line into a Jordan Clarkson type player which definitely is a possibility but a very small one in not too worried about happening unless some career altering injury happens.

I only threw that in there for those who ultimately think KPj is better than Green and should be more heavily invested in. I'm not in that camp.

It's definitely a reasonable opinion that KPJ is a better player now but that is with two more years of pro level training and experience. The age Green is in is the most rapid development stage for a NBA player. In two years Green will look like a completely different player if he has decent work ethic at the very least.

It's just simply very rare for a NBA franchise to trade a player like Green at his age with what he's done so far and what what draft selection we got him at.

When i see Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell as not even half the prospects of our top 2 scorers and they're outscoring them on better efficiency? When you see rookies off to hot starts scoring near 20 a game on high efficiency being put in spots to succeed? You need to shake things up. Silas is a lame duck. He's got to go and then you let either Mahmoud or Hollins be interim coach and try and find out how Green/KPj works as a more efficient back court and find a way to get Bari to trend upward, if not, i'd hope they'd try KPj at 6th man and then consider a trade this summer if that doesn't work out either.

Honestly KPJ and Green need to have staggered minutes as much as mathematically possible with a competent pass first pg with a respectable outside shot in the minutes with just Green. That is probably the best way to get Green a proper rhythm.

That type of player is probably going to require a draft pick and one of our young guys like KMJ in a package though or maybe a Gordon and KMJ package. I would feel bad letting a player like KMJ go but it might be essential to fully unlock the ability of our number 2 overall pick we are heavily invested in.
