Perhaps you should’ve articulated your opinion better in the first place if you actually intended to have that discussion. That’s not what you said. This on the other hand is very discussion worthy. Do better lol
Green isn't the focus of the team.......yet due to his tendency to defer the ball to the vets and silas lack of coaching chops to make green the main offensive focus. If he was then be would b getting more touches or not get benched at the dumbest time. And no he doesn't have to earn his mins. On a tanking team, there is literally nothing to prove and development/gaining experience is key. Once again, when folks call u out other folks poor take on green doesn't = only green fan. And there's been countless discussion of why our team sucks. 1. We have a big man (wood) that sucks at his job defending the paint. He refuses to set proper picks, or rebound. We have folks ok here that love him cause of his offensive stats. 2. We have a guard attempting to b a point guard. This project is not working bc he doesn't have the passing instinct to set up plays like sengun. Man is out of his depth and it is Debatable if it hinders green growth. 3. We have a sht coach who has the wackiest mins distribution. 4. Conditioning and development is a growing concern. Sengun is still huffing and puffing, rookies need to bulk up, etc. 5. What offense r we even trying to do? 6. Intentional tanking Like literally a sht ton of topics could attribute to why we r getting ass blasted by an increased margin. Most folks aren't gonna say dam we r getting ass blasted every game could it b bc green is getting better as a player?
Most folks don't want to talk about team dynamics or leadership and how it effects on court performance - I was hoping to spur a discussion on whether people that Green becoming "The Dude" which I think he is.....and is becoming the focus of the team - just maybe not as fast as some folks want.....and how that might be having an effect on the team. Or, was it just because we were missing some important pieces? Personally, I think Wood and Tate being out helps the transition, I think Tate shoots too much.....and is efficient -ish but is ultimately not going to be part of the core.....and Wood just sucks so bad on defense and clogs the paint at times on offense that our young guards are better playing without him. I do think me being the messenger agitates some of the Green b**** brigade a bit though.....right b****ES! DD
Sometimes I like to try to lead folks into it to see if they are seeing what I am seeing - just interested in finding kindred spirits who are watching for the same things as me. DD
So looked at record in the last 60 games. I segments of 10 games starting from earliest to latest. (Losses counting as negative pt differential, wins as positive pt differential) -130, -3(included 6 of the 7 game win streak), -137, -88, -147, -105 Number of 15 plus point losses in the same segment 3, 1, 5, 4, 5, 4 In conclusion, we have sucked pretty much all year. We have 22 losses of 15 plus points, 15 losses of 20+ points and 17 wins.
Well if u r asking about if green trying to become the "dude" or leader or main focal of the offense is what can attribute to these blow out. I don't think so bc Green isn't trying to b anything of the sort to me. 1. He is still deferring the ball to the vets. 2. He still disappears during long stretches of the game. 3. He is playing efficiently with the usual touches (aka less than his fellow rookies) 4. Blowouts have been happening this entire season when he suck and when he play well Green is now improving to point where folks r quite pleased with the progress and u already wondering if he's trying to b a leader his rookie season. Save that talk for chapter 3 or something honestly. It doesn't make sense to question greens leadership ability or growing offensive role when we still have yet figure out mins distribution for the players or the type of offense we want to play.
Idk if russlio even watches most of our games and even he has more insight than double d on Green's role on offense. Green isn't the main focus of the offense. Sure he shoots more in some games, but everyone vets included gets their share of shots. So even if green is on fire, he will b freeze out for extended amount of time so the vets can get their stats cause silas doesn't have the chops to address it.
Not saying I agree with the message. Just passing it along. I don’t think KPJ has an agenda. I do however think Wood is about his stats. There have been a few incidents that would suggest as much. Silas just doesn’t seem to know how to coach IMO. There are games where Tate thinks he’s the number 1 option out there and why do these fools keep bringing the ball up the court when they are terrible at it? That’s on Silas
I agree, and Russilo is partially right, these guys all know that numbers begat bigger contracts, and as such as in it for their own numbers...in particular Tate, and Wood. DD
That's an amazing stat and it's been fun watching him hit the midrange, but that pace is clearly not sustainable. During that same time Green has shot 37.7% from deep on seven attempts per game which is much more reasonable. He's also averaging 3.3 assists and only 1.7 turnovers. Not only is he on fire, but he's playing mistake free basketball.
