Wasn't directed at you, yeah, we had our battles, but I did not think you were crazy just stubborn.

    You should read too.

But yes, Mathloom for example, but I am actually not on bad terms with him.

Nobody plays like Kobe today, everyone wants to be Stephanie.

I think once this Jalen Green craze dies down, a Chet or Jabari frenzy ensues..... everyone hit Reset.

It's goes both ways. We had folks calling green too girly, a bust, waste of a pick daroko bust potential, empty calorie player and a bunch of bs b4 he even finished his rookie season.

There's critcism and there's just outright slander/shtting on him.

Folks should take a wait and see but in my opinion I prefer those that hype up our players to a certain extent.

Only poster that's straight up delusional with optimism to me is hakeem94 where sengun literally can do no wrong.

I am not saying it was all peaceful.

But in the end it is an afterthought. We as posters were not used to all the bad games and tanking and it mirrored on them players.

I do not view bust and too girly as offensive.....

Have you watched KPop or any fashion trends, most young people are like that.....

Busts in the lottery.....very common, it is good that he is no bust now.

i just find it quite dumb to call someone a bust and sht on other posters calling dem cultist/ Green only fan months into Green's career.
U think it's dumb for people to declare him the next kobe, it's the same for folks when they see the bust label.

Why do people want to carry over an asinine argument over to the new season?

Treat it like the Rockets do......wipe the slate clean, take the lottery picks, draft and enter the new season with a new perspective......

Resentment is never good... esp. not for one's health.

Not into that whole Montague and Capulet dispute.

Big Jalen green critic here. Went to the game tonight, being my first time this year, went to Row 12. There are certain things that can only be evaluated looking closely at.

Im sold on this guy, a lot of work ahead of him, but the 1st quarter was amazing. He was a problem. If we can set his mentorship up with key players, he truly can be an amazing scorer. He is really quick.

Now, energy is a big red flag, his energy levels and willingness to insist on attacking the rim go up and down. And it is not clear why, he needs to be assertive because there are moments when the team has no other scorer around and he is the best option. That is my biggest critics, if he really is Kobe like, he doesn't give the ball back to someone with less likelihood of scoring.

He cant be aggressive because there are like 4 other prospects on the team needing the ball. Hes not the only one being developed. He does the right thing in the amount of time and balls he gets...this a very good year for him so far. Hes adjusting and making the most of it, of course he always can get better..

Unselfishness. That's what aggravates me. He passes it to Wood or KPJ too many times.

Zach Lavine is like that. He has the mentality of a 3rd option scorer.

I'll be more concerned about this if Green is still deferring like now in his 3rd season. Right now I expect him to defer more to the vets as a rookie.

I feel like people look through the Kobe mentality with rose tinted glasses. Kobe had incredible work ethic, but frankly the "mamba mentality" of not passing the ball is not what young players should aspire towards.

At the end of the day, Kobe's successful seasons all came when he played on very talented and stacked teams, and frankly throughout his career there were far too many games where Kobe was simply shooting too much. Did people forget that even Shaq, who at the time was by far the most dominant scorer in the league, was complaining about Kobe not passing the ball to him? Even Phil Jackson at one point said Kobe was uncoachable.

Green at the end of the day shouldn't develop this mentality, he should aspire to be coachable and maintain the same work ethic as Kobe, but not knowing when to defer and let others take on a bigger role is not conducive to a winning basketball culture.

Well kpj and wood can also put 20 pts on any given night. The problem is wood lack of interest on playing defense or doing any big man role causes problems for the team as a whole. They can score a sht ton but allows the opposing team 2 freely score at will.

Noticed how locked in we were without wood on defense and was leading? We just ran out of fire power.

I have no problem green deferring as long as the other two realize that when green is hot, he needs the ball more.

Last night shows how unselfish Jalen really is. He passed up many opportunities to get his own, but I rather have an unselfish young rookie than a selfish one. He will learn that he is option 1 on offense and there are times where he needs to be selfish especially when he got the hot hand. Really hope we somehow get Chet next year. Chet is a perfect fit with Jalen and Sengun

So you are upset that people were super excited about his potential?

Some people get off to other's suffering. It really baffles me that there are posters here actively rooting for their organization to suck.

People were not used to the whole drafting for ages thing.

It is not the excitement that is wrong, it is what you do with it.

If you get carried away, of course you get swept off your feet, and people are going to come at you.

Where do you see that I am upset, I am passionate about posting lol, look at our join dates, you should remember me by now.

Do I get triggered once in a while, for sure.

    Almost 2 decades.

Jalen Green's issues have morphed from can he do it, to why isn't he doing it more!? That's a good problem to have. He has shown that he can score on all 3 levels. He can blow by his man and get to the rim. His jumper is erratic, but when he gets going it's en fuego. He can initiate the offense and create for others in a secondary capacity.

Now he has to be more assertive and be more aggressive. Keep that consistent pressure on the defense for the entire time he is on the floor. He still defers a lot, but I would expect that from a young rookie like him that is trying to find his way on a team with other guys that demand the ball. I don't think he's doing anything wrong per se. He's paying his dues and being a good teammate. Nobody likes a ball hog. It'll happen organically. We're already seeing them trusting him more than they did earlier in the season. When he gets it, he needs to attack and then make the right play whether that be a pass or his own shot. No more just looking to pass without making something happen unless it's a set play or he's swinging the ball to the open man.
