Lol come on man you're not being subtle with that Zach LaVine comment. Green's ceiling now is looking higher than LaVine who is actually looking like his floor if he keeps this up the rest of the season.
The clutch gene just lives in this kid too. The moment will not be too big for him when he gets there. He wants to be the superstar and has the hard work to back it up. This is great to see
Think about it for a second. While he was training hard at the gym, we heard he could never add enough strength to that frame. While he was training hard off the court, we heard it was all PR. “Never happened” was someone’s instinct and that person genuinely believed that it’s overstated. While he was working hard on the court despite struggling, they said he’ll just never have the IQ to go with that motor. He’s looking like a sophomore overnight. Take it as a lesson in your own life, sometimes your choices are so right but you might doubt them cause of some *******’s “instinct”. Sometimes your future is so bright and you’re the only person you know who can see it. There’s always SOME evidence that something else may be right too, that’s life. Was obvious to me Green has an infinite source of motivation and in life that kind of motivation always wins out. You can only fail so many times if you keep getting back up. Keep climbing Jalen. Well earned.
For those that didn’t really notice because of the angle the dribble package. This was JG putting on a master class. This is chaining together a move with a counter move and then another move into a cold blooded step back with so much separation that the defender couldn’t even truly contest the shot.
Dang. Thanks for the post. That was one of the shots I noticed and gave a positive remark to (cover your ears JOFs - I know you don't like seeing that part). Didn't see that on the view I was watching. I'd much rather have him with the ball than KPJ if he's making decisive decisions. Nearly every single thing he's done offensively that's been good this year can be attributed to him making a quick decision and using his athleticism or speed. (cover your ears again JOFs)
Why are these labels necessary? Obviously nobody in their right mind would think any poster would be a fan of only Green, most people that are optimistic about Green feel that way because they are a fan of the Rockets and hope that Green could be a key to helping this team become competitive again, and a lot of expectations are placed upon him because he is the highest picked player the Rockets have had since Yao. He may or may never become that player, but up until a couple of weeks ago Green was literally a teenager. It seems a bit distasteful, on the part of many posters (no doubt middle aged), to rant on about a kid online with immature, childish posts. Even if Green is the worse player in the league, he's still a kid that deserves at least 3 years of patience before you can write him off.
That's going to be so hard to defend man because he's faking that drive and because of his slashing ability YOU have to respect that and since you HAVE to respect that the mid range game is there for him all day long.
Don't forget that Jalen trains with Ja and Curry in the offseason. Next year Jalen is going to be scary good. Have fun with that Jalen haters
Because for certain posters in another thread that label me a Green hater, and claim I say he's a bust and only have negative things to say. I've got to point out when they should bury their head in the sand, so they can continue thinking those things.
I have difficulty believing this chart bc it seems to suggest that green is slightly better in iso defense than Mobely and Mobely is slightly better at scoring
Delivering a great performance in a win over his MVP-candidate friend is a really great milestone and no doubt a further mental boost for Green. Ja Morant wanted this win badly and Green took it from him and was the most electric player on the floor against the most electric player in the league. Also, he is just amazing for marketing. His game, character, personality, multi-cultural.
