I always encourage other people to start threads, for some reason whenever I go into a Green thread, the creator is named Mathloom.
What a frustrating missed attempt to name the thread "The Jalen Green Experience Part 2: Electric Boogaloo"
It's not that surprising for anyone who watches him without bias. He has excellent defensive footwork and recovery speed. Once he gains some strength he has potential to become a very solid defender. As his offense picks up and he starts hitting 30 point games more often, I hope his defense doesn't slip like what happened with Parsons.
Why didn't you do this chapter 2 thing when he turned 20? We are all trying to get use to saying, "He's only 20!" Chapter 3 will be 10 years from now when he signs a 4-year 400M contract.
I disagree, OP didn't even wait for year 1 to be over before doing chapter 2. It's almost guaranteed he will do a new chapter for the summer or latest start of the new season.
Not comparing Green to Kobe, but Kobe's first year he was young, inexperienced, had a below .400 FG% and was a flash-in-the-pan. The first year of a young player isn't a barometer of their career by any means. Even though he had 1 year of G-League ball I still liken him to more of a straight out of high school player than a player coming out of college. Green will be fine as long as the organization and the fans don't label him as the next savoir and see him for the player he becomes along side other pieces.
He wanted to get to the Chapter 2 Boba Fett facing Tusken raiders. Chapter 3: Mathloom Fett facing Krrsantan the Great.
Parsons's defense was mainly due to hustle/effort. Which is why it tapered off once he started to get more involved on the offensive end. Also he isn't even in the same conversation as far as athleticism goes.
Jinx thread! Green was the tank commander tonight. He makes 2 more shots and Rockets win this game. (I didn't want them to win, but still)
