By the way, CX is bad at basketball analysis and quoting. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/first-they-ignore-you/ Can you imagine trying to compare yourself to Gandhi by using a quote Gandhi didn't say? Hilarious.
This is getting annoying having to explain basic reading comprehension to you over and over again so this is the last time I’m going to, in the future I will just ignore you. I would not dream of comparing Jalen to post allstar Edwards, I am not stupid or delusional. It was the Green onlyfans who made the comparison to make themselves feel better about the abomination of a season he was having, that Edwards was just as bad his rookie year and then put up such great numbers after the allstar break, Jalen will too. I tried to explain that Edwards is a sample size of 1, that not every rookie who is sucking like the thousands that have come before made the huge leap that Edwards did. Delusional fanboys didn’t want to listen so I proposed a bet with a ridiculous punishment, because I don’t think I will ever be losing that bet. I didn’t pu$$y out you illiterate moron, if someone takes me up on it and Green puts up better numbers than Edwards I’ll hold up my end of the bargain. I never said he would, you idiot, that’s why I’m betting against it. I never moved the goalpost, Edwards was a standard set by Greens own delusional fans.
If he sustains his last ten games played(18 ppg on 60%ts), that's about where post asb Edward was at right?
!!!! you are quite the fan of the Houston Rockets. A positive optimistic poster! For your sake I hope you able to declare who the Rockets should draft and end they up doing it this offseason. Then you “fans” on the message board can have the additional dynamic of daily postings about how awful Green is and how good the player you wanted in the draft is. good luck bro. I hope the sh*tposting continues onto the next chapter.
What's empty calorie points? Are empty calorie points points you obtained by scoring more efficiently? Because just so you know Green scores significantly more efficiently than Giddey(like a 4% ts difference). When I hear "empty calorie point" I assume they mean "inefficient points" which doesn't make sense in this case as you are saying the guy who scores more efficiently has empty calorie points relative to the guy who scores less efficiently. That doesn't make much sense to me but you do you boo.
Speaking of overall game, Mobley has become a triple-single machine. Five triple-singles in the last eleven games! So transcendent.
An empty calorie point is ones that do not impact the game, they are points that would have happened anyways no matter who was the one taking the shot. Green sits in the corner and takes wide open 3s that come to him because the defense doesn’t bother to guard him. You replace his name with any of the other guards on this team and give them those same shots and we get the same if not more points as a result, its empty and doesn’t push the team towards winning at all. Giddey is less efficient at scoring, but he runs the entire offense and generates points for his entire team, you replace him with another guard and the quality of shots goes down for the entire team and they score less efficiently, he is an impact player that affects winning. This is basic basketball knowledge that I shouldn’t need to explain.
Considering you misquoted Gandhi, I'm not sure you should question anyone's intellect. I love irrelevant stats like this. I can play this game all day. I'm sure you mock those who bring up similar stats such as the fact that Jalen Green is the youngest player ever to score 30 points in a game with 8 3s. You continue to prop-up Mr. Triple-Single. He needs it lately.
Lol this poster so delusional on his crusade to hate on green. Empty calories points. Imagine using that logic to sht on a rookie putting up respectable numbers on a sht tanking team. If he wasn't putting up numbers cxxby would have been btching for lacks of points. When he does put up points efficiently its "empty calorie points". Goes to show man is doing mental gymnastics moving goal posts just to sht on green.
"Players Shooting Dashboard Closest Defender +10 | Stats | NBA.com" https://www.nba.com/stats/players/shots-closest-defender-10/?Season=2021-22&SeasonType=Regular Season&StarterBench=Starters&PlayerExperience=Rookie&TeamID=1610612745&CloseDefDistRange=6+ Feet - Wide Open Giddy has a higher frequency(percentage of his attempts) of "wide open" shots. It's a 6% gap between Green and Giddy so pretty substantial gap. So again, this must be a first in NBa history of someone saying the dude who gets less open looks and scores more efficiently despite that is the one with "empty calorie" pts. Giddy gets more open looks and still has a near 4% pt gap in scoring efficiency.
Dude, what don't you get? The guy who scores with better efficiency against greater resistance is obviously just providing "empty calories" offense, and the guy scoring with far less efficiency against less resistance is providing "nutritionally dense" offense. The logic is flawless.
I initially thought green being compared to Corey brewer was stupid. But these anti Green folks keeps coming up with more and more stupider takes. Daroko bust potential. And now empty calorie points. Imagine sprouting that sht after a very efficient game from green.
If 20+ points on great efficiency from a rookie equates to “empty calories points,” then meet me at the frig, my friends.
