Can Green average 30+ his 2nd season? He did finish the season on a 30 point run. Doesn't matter what team was doing what. Each team played was trying to win.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...-including-former-no-1-pick-eurobasket-phenom Edit : Obligatory where’s KPJ on this list?
Last year only LeBron and Embiid scored over 30. The year before that, only Steph and Beal. Then the next 4 years, only one player per year averaged 30, Harden, Harden, Westbrook, Curry. The year before that, 0 players averaged 30. Based on historical evidence, I'll say no, Jalen won't average 30. Even if scoring is up across the board, averaging 30 doesn't happen very often.
Rockets guard Jalen Green was catching up in the final weeks of summer workouts and the start of training camp because of a bone bruise that kept him out of five-on-five scrimmages through the early weeks of the off-season. But by Wednesday, Rockets coach John Lucas said that Green appeared to be back up to speed. “He didn’t play a lot this summer because we were rehabbing him from some stuff,” Lucas said. “He’s now beginning to get in a flow. He had a very good practice (on Wednesday.) “Jalen, I keep telling him, he has no idea what he’s in store for, being his second year. He’s going to be a big focal point for us, scoring, so people are going to guard him different. He’s definitely one, or the second or third guy, people are going to talk about on the scouting reports for us, so it’s going to be a little bit different for us.
Apparently people don’t think he trains. He can jump into space without even having to work for it duh
That won’t happen. I wonder what he would have to do to make the all star team though. Highlights of every night and 25+ ppg. The fact he is good looking won’t hurt his popularity either. If his play warrants it perhaps we can get a campaign going on here/YouTube/Twitter that helps get him there.
Okay, we finally found out where he's been all summer when the other guys were playing pick up games.
One thing I noticed the first preseason game: everyone knows how hard of a worker Green is. It's clear he worked hard in the weight room, on his handles, on his shot, etc... usually a player coming into their second year is super eager to show all of that off in 1 game. Green saw Bari going off and didn't try to steal the spotlight. It was very natural. Of course, that's just doing what he should do. But it's great to see.
He looked just as tall as Trent Jr. out there. Just don't let Lucas run the weight room. He'd put our Rox through some Jameis Winston workouts.
