He can only bulk up from where he is at. That's the good news.

He was listed at 186 lbs. last year, I think. I wouldn't put much into these weights and heights - sometimes I swear they just use whatever is available. He was listed at 178 from his G-League days, too. I've seen numbers from G-League that said he was 6'6" then, too.

You people actually think that's his current height and weight? That was the EXACT same g-league measurements.

    He's probably 6'5" 180-190 at this point.

Unless he grew since last year he's 6'5" in shoes at around 185. Whether he's 6'4" or 6'6" doesn't really matter. With his athleticism nobody keeps him from getting to the rim or getting his shot off. As he gets older what will take him from great to elite is when he gets to around 210-215 and focuses more on D. That's gonna be fun.

    Jalen have it all...

    https://theathletic.com/3620721/2022/09/23/stephen-silas-rockets-interview/

You’re obviously pretty bullish on Jalen’s development, and I know player comps can be a bad idea, but does he remind you of anybody?

It’s funny because he kind of reminds you of Monta (Ellis, with whom Silas was close during his Warriors days). He can get to his midrange, and he can score that way. He’s super, super athletic. He’s fast with his first step. He’s bigger than Monta. And obviously when Monta was doing his thing, he wasn’t the 3-point shooter that Jalen is. But as far as doing it in an easy way and going fast and being hard to guard and averaging 20-plus (points) on a nightly basis, that’s (like Monta). … Jalen has All-Star potential, so I don’t want to diminish that by comparing him to Monta. But they just remind me of each other with how easy it was — like, 20 was easy for him. And it’s the same way for Jalen.

Ellis was so underrated. It’s absurd that he never made an All Star appearance.

Ehe he didn't have the right head on his shoulders. He had the talent to be a superstar guard. Let's hope Green doesn't have that career.

yeah he was incredibly good for a while. But his 3pt % held him back. Had as many under 30% seasons as he did over 32% seasons. Its a pretty critical difference (hopefully). And height decent difference, too.The reasons Monta never made an all-star game likely can be indirectly attributed to his low 3pt % and being a scoring PG that was very solid (and had some 6 apg years, so could dish) but not crazy efficient.

Eg. Monta as a 6'6 shooting guard with otherwise the same game is just more valuable, then Monta as a 6'6 shooting guard with the same game but a better (much better?) 3 point % is a clear consistent all-star.

No, both he and KPJ are listed as 6'4" on the Rockets main NBA page....

Would be awesome if it were true.....but it is dubious a this point.

    Also, wasn't Monta only 6'3"?

    I agree as I stated...

"Unless he grew since last year he's 6'5" in shoes at around 185. Whether he's 6'4" or 6'6" doesn't really matter."

Curious why bringing up Ellis? I never mentioned him.
