Oladipo had one year with the Pacers where people considered him a borderline top 10 guy. That wouldn't be bad at all for Green.
For real. I think Jalen will flirt with an efficient 28+ppg from his 3rd season onwards. Oladipo never had that in him.
Definitely a nice breath a fresh air when compared to the dumpster fire that is the KPJ Extension Thread.
Jalen still looks as skinny as Silas. I hope he realizes the importance of adding strength and muscle to his thin frame if he plans to defend against NBA guards. Interesting enough, I recently saw a picture of Quentin Grimes lifting weights as he prepares for the upcoming season. Dude is getting ripped the way Giannis did his first few years in the NBA. No way he could be the player he is today without adding strength and muscle. Same goes for Green if he wants to get to the next level.
Adding muscle is a process. It's only been 4 months since the end of the season and it takes longer than that to add significant muscle. Giannis didn't do it in 1 offseason either
Does he? His shoulders definitely look a little bigger. There are other workout photos there show the appearance of more mass but there also can be the result of him just finishing a pumping iron session.
Hypertrophy and strength don’t increase in a 1 to 1 ratio. There’s no question he’s worked on strength in the off-season. Visual muscle growth will come if it’s not already evident. We’re just seeing random pictures and video. His focus should never be just bulk up and add as much weight as possible. That’d be dumb.
Green may never fill out, he might be skinny strong, ala George Gervin. As long as he is effective, who cares? Bulking up is overrated in basketball. DD
