He said what he said. I don't know what you keep tagging for. We are all glad that his cat and corvette survived the kitchen fire of 2004. All of our lives are better for it.

Biden delivered every possible resource to Maui in the shortest time range possible. Hes tapped out every emergency fema program. That's the fact. Average household got 3k in benefits so far. Yes biden may say dumb **** at times. He's 80.

But the facts show he did what his responsibilities are as POTUS and he was on phone with local leaders every day. He's old and says dumb **** at times. I've never met a old person who didn't

Lol… actually he said a bit more but your choose to disregard that and focus on the sound bite.

I get it though… you don’t have empathy for Maui or Bidens and were looking just to score political points.

As has been noted Biden does say dumb things, rambles and lives in the past everynow and then. I would agree talking about his corvette was dumb but that wasn't the only thing he said. If you look at the Biden's history it should be very obvious that the grief over his family is something that is a big part of his personality. As such he does frame all grief through that lens. That's not being out of touch as really the only way we can understand others is through our own experiences.

Leaving aside what Biden has said he has done quite a bit regarding the disaster response. I've been involved with several disaster responses and so far the response out of this Admin. appears to be as good or better than most other large disasters. That largely matches his record on other disasters including Hurricane Ian where even Ron DeSantis complimented the Biden's Admin's response.

People forget when trump refused to sign disaster relief for California! Trump literally played politics with state governments and everyone magically forgets. He did the same thing with Puerto rico! He literally played with peoples lives. Biden dispatched the military within 40 minutes but he didn't brag or make fancy videos.

Biden would've been a historic president in an era when folks paid attention to policy and facts. Issue now is disinformation and conspiracies spread quicker than facts

This is the problem with how partisan that everything someone of the other party does has to be nit picked, every fault magnified, and every success downplayed. I remember getting some heat hear for complimenting DeSantis on his response to Hurricane Ian. Anyone, and that means many of those in Houston during Harvey, who has been through a large disaster should know that federal responses are always complex and usually slow compared to local responses. It's no surprise there are people who are upset by the response particularly if they've never experienced a disaster and also because the local agencies did F-up the response.

This is a basketball forum, no one is trying to score political points. Which comment did I make that made you think I don't have empathy for Hawaii? I bet I have donated more than you.

Trump literally refused to sign disaster aid which led to direct suffering for millions of people. Forget about him throwing towels or any of that dumb ****. Ive never cared about Trumps dumb acts as long as he delievered on real policy. The issue is he played games with disaster aid and made states pledge loyalty to him before he would release it.

The complaint with biden is that he gave aid on time and everything but he ****ed up speaking? There's not one program that FEMA has accesss too which theyve denied for Hawaii. Their doing everything they can until Congress authorizes more funding.

How can any rational person compare the two people and think their both the same? Why are we so stupid as a country baffles me.

I don't think many people base their votes on candidates sticking their foot in their mouth anymore. We're long past those days.

With all due respect i think you have it opposite. Washington post did a story about bidens reaction and it was 8 paragraphs of how bidens optics were bad. Not one concrete thing about what biden could've done better.

People in this thread complain biden only gave 700 but nobody is smart enough to state what other money biden can legally give directly? He's given housing credits and he's providing food and the navy is helping people evacuate.

Its all about optics in 2023. Nobody gives a **** about policy

Sure you are… the whole point of your initial comment was to bash Biden.

I don’t think you are dumb enough to think someone is actually tallying political points but just trying to obfuscate. And this isn’t the basketball section of the forum…

Trump refused to sign a disaster aid after 1.7 million acres of land had burned

Trumps response was, "the fire isn't that bad"

1.7 million acres burned and the POTUS thinks it's not bad enough. Yet here we are hand wringing about what biden said.

Ita crazy how the right is with their both sides bullshit. These scumbags get away with it @basso. These people are full of **** and have always been full of ****.

There is not a more insufferable poster than @astros123. He/she just has no self-awareness.

Imagine drowning yourself in braindead low iq conspiracies all day and thinking others are the problem. Look in the mirror.

I don't think it's policy either. But these sound bites aren't going to move the needle either. People like to read up on it and it sells in the media - but that doesn't mean it affects the elections.
