Meh..... he lost his wife and daughter in a car accident when they were on their way to buy a Christmas tree. He then lost his oldest son to brain cancer....... His living son suffered a fractured skull and has had emotional and mental issues since then. Politics aside - I don't think Biden is trying to capitalize on anything, he is telling people that have suffered tragedies that he can empathize with them.

700 dollars is the MAXIMUM MONEY HE CAN GIVE under that program. He can't magically waive a wand and change law. Until congress passes his 15b request for more funding he can't give more outside of shelter and supplies but not more direct cash relief. The mayor and governor both said biden was there personally to talk to them throughout the disaster and the governor almost started crying yesterday talking about it. But biden didn't send fancy tweets or publish it to the world so he's done nothing according to folks. We are so ****ed as a society cuz disinformation will destroy America
