There are a lot of ramble about how changing coaches will turn the team around but I don't think its that simple for a number of reasons: 1. Toughness is Required We need a tough coach who will discipline our players and crack the whip If a player is playing selfishly or not thinking team first, then the coach needs to pull him 2. Ownership needs to stand by the coach You look at NJ, if a star is upset with the coach, the coach got fired not the player Thus by default a coach cant do their job (especially the type of coach we need) So outside of maybe a Phil Jackson (who has the rings and can tell a player to either get with the program or they are out), I don't think it will help
We should hire a woman coach so the nba will be forced to help us win. Everyone knows a Karen always wins with the manager.
1. You probably didn't mean anything by it but I'd rethink using the expression "crack the whip" in regards to a team that is predominantly black men. 2. You probably also ought to rethink your faith in Phil Jackson after his colossal failure with the Knicks. The NBA has left him behind.
Hi Williamson- cracking the whip meaning someone that is tough on players when they veer of course. You may be right about Phil but need someone players will listen to unconditionally that they respect (Phil made Shaq/Kobe) even w all that drama and made that work. our stars will need someone like that whom they will listen to
We need someone who will discipline our stars and get them to play hard. We need a coach that stresses defense.
Agreed but tricky part is that I worry our stars just dont listen This day and age, these "stars" think they are bigger than the team and just do whats good for them and often times, the ownership sides with the player vs the coach
Maybe they can all have a players meeting and go do an escape room together? Oh wait we tried that with Dwert.
Mark Jackson with Jeff as assistant defensive coach. Hehe let’s take them from abc and ESPN. But mark wouldn’t be that bad he helped the warriors and he is flexible with schemes but also focused on defense. Jeff would be nice but I doubt he wants all the headache that comes with coaching. Becky Hammon would be nice too. Spurs don’t seem to want to give her an opportunity as the main coach so I’m sure she would sign up. Lue only coz players like him but idk if he would be ideal for Harden. but hopefully we don’t need a coach change this season and we fix the chemistry n energy with the team.
nah it’s about off ball movement not 4 guys standing around and 1 trying to dribble drive or shoot. No movement no movement means no easy buckets no players free to shoot means everything is hard one on one or kickout. The warriors use a lot of flares and off ball movement that’s why klay and Steph are always open. James has played that way IN OKC old system in 2010-11. He knows how to move without the ball and we have seen it this year. The coaching philosophy is one one one dribble drive or 3. Very difficult to watch that’s why we are hated. Tillman needs to sell merchandise and tickets let’s get MDA outta here.
